I can only upload at 13k/sec max, I usually cut it to 9k/sec to keep my internet still useable. I was downloading Forgotten Hope after it came out and was uploading ~9k/sec and downloading at the maximum for my connection (350k/sec) the whole time.

Maybe it gauges what your max is and what percent of it you're using or something. Either way, BT is my new favorite way to get game demos and mods, especially since Fileshack has a 100k/sec cap now.

The problem with BT is too many people cutting out as soon as the DL is done. Makes it hard to get a large pool of UL'ers.


...and I only get a combined UL+DL of 2.7kB/sec. Anything more puts me at more than $100/mo+setup+hardware.
