I'm on a RR connection. Its not bad at all but don't expect TW to do anything when they have too many people using a main line. Either way, it beats DSL hands down

I've had RR for a few months now, and it's only been down 3 times. I get 1.5Mbps down, 300k up. Also, we have a RR newsserver that I get 2.5Mbps to, and the binaries are always complete. I couldn't ask for much more.

Had roadrunner and I miss it. Now I have Adelphia's Powerlink and it blows in comparison. I still get 350k+ downstream, but adelphia caps upstream off at 15k. Roadrunner was a consistent 50 upstream.

It's mediocre at best.

When I have an outage, you have to call the central call center in Canada, where they do stupid crap like powercycle your modem and release/renewing your IP. then they transfer you to a local tech, where they cant get a tech out fast enough to diagnose the problem. The next day the service is OK or still down and youre without service.

Most of the time the service is trouble free, but when you get problems, you get PROBLEMS. I had about 10 TWC trucks in my neighborhood a couple months ago tearing everything out and replacing tons of equipment cause there was a mystery problem that nobody could solve.

I also have smething to add: I think they rock. Once they found and fixed the problem on the line into my home, it's been great. I had a bad "blocker" on my line. The blocker is supposed to filter out all the channels that I don't pay for. The blocker on my line just happened to be filtering out just about everything 99% of the time. It took quite a few calls to the local Time Warner cable office to get them to send out guys smart enough to figure it out. Then they credited my bill for about two and half months, I finally started paying, and I've had no complaints since. It's been reliable enough for me to at long last, cancel Mindspring dial up account.

NOTE: I am posting from linux on an old computer with a keyboard with a bad "O", so please frgive my typing errors. ;)

I have been on it for 3 years now and there is almost never a problem although it has been a little slower than normal recently.

Wished my neighbors would stop hogging my bandwith. It's not like there are any hardcore gamers or techies in my neighborhood. They would much rather play real hockey than virtual hockey... I keep maxing out at 1.8 mbps.
