IF he did travel back in time 200 years, then he should've know he was gonna get busted Jan 28 2003.

However, he refuses to reveal the location of the machine or discuss how it works, supposedly out of fear the technology could "fall into the wrong hands."

LMFAO, it looks like it already has. Assuming the story is true, which it is not. Besides, he couldn't forsee his arrest? LOL

He couldnt forsee his arrest because it did not happen. When he was arrested it was his present not the past. so there was NO way for him to know that it happend.

His past IS our present.

I'm kinda glad it was bumped. This story is hilarious and I'm wondering if there's any sort of followup whatsoever

This would make a Killar made for TV movie or outer limits episode. The problem lies in the ending. You know the feds would keep him locked up indefinitly so it really would not have a very happy ending.

Update with a statement from an SEC dude.

From the site: A handful of others pointed out that any time traveller with half a brain would not bother popping back to 2003, just when the stock market is in free fall and anyone who actually makes any money at all would stick out like a 25-ft. tall green alien with two heads.

I should have thought of that. I'd go back to the beginning of the internet rush and capitalize on everything there.

Would you be able to tell them how to cure polio? I don't think so. You just know that penicilline is good. 95% of people don't know how to make it (or cultivate it). I also don't think he would have specific knowledge of where Osama is. How many people would know something like that?

Ahh, but maybe he learned about it in school? Like how our students learn the basics of how things like flight work.

If we had some knowledge of one cure that would work, we could get to it much faster by putting all of our resorces into it as opposed to researching into several different directions.

Just a clue could be all he is offering, but it could be all we need. Theoretically.
