Man, you city slickers got it made. I've get 3MB for $50/mo for internet. No TV, no phone, but then again there's no driveway either.

You're doing it wrong. Call them and tell them you can't afford that much every month and you want to see what they can do to lower your bill. I don't k now about the really basic tier, but you should be able to get 50Mbps for $50-55/mo for a year. Set a calendar reminder, call back before it expires, do it again.

I'd rather go to Jiffy Lube for a rectal exam than talk to a Comcast employee on the phone. 🙂

No no, you're not trying to cancel, just pay less. They're happy to help lower your bill because it makes them look like they retained a customer. My last two calls with them have really been quite pleasant.

But why tho.

Like how many DVR's stacked ontop each other and TV's in the closet with HBO could you possibly need while streaming netflix anyway.

Then the deal ends and your bill is $170-$200+

Comcast $30/mo for 75/10 using auto-pay. If you're stuck with Comcast, I highly recommend going to a service center to get the best deal. They have more flexibility on pricing.

WOW cable, 30/5 paying $35\mo. No complaints, especially since AT&T and Comcast are my other options.

I've talked about mine before. It's a small coop phone/cable/internet that services a few of the smaller towns the big boys won't service. I have fios to the house, but the prices are a bit steep for internet. I'm doing 10/1 for $50/mth but I'm really getting 20/5. I should probably go higher since work pays for $45 of it, but eh. Less bills is less bills and I've yet to need more than this even streaming everything. I have no plans to change to 4k any time soon. Best thing is it isn't capped -- and they claim they won't...

Not exactly a major city, just ~150,000

However I currently have 250 / 10 Mb for $45 /month. I actually get closer to 275 / 15 Mb/s, don't know what's up with that but I'm not complaining.

Charter 60/5 for ~$65/month after tax. Internet only.

Service is fantastic. Price is crappy but they don't have competition here (I don't consider UVerse of 12/1 for ~$45/month worthy competition).

We are stuck with the crap known as Frontier Communications. 7.8 down/.7 up all for the low price of $95/month.

That does include their basic phone package($54)which is required when you have dsl through them. I hate Frontier and their business model.

I do have a Channel Master OTA DVR which is nice and helps. I also have WMC with a Hauppauge usb tuner on my pc to complement the shortcomings of the Channel Master.

I NEED to do this as well.

Comcast is vile - paying too much for TV I barely watch.

Was surprised to see Google Fiber not available when their HQ is about 15 mins from me. 🙄

What providers do you guys recommend? I do need a land-line as well so right now I have the "Triple-Fraud" X-FINITY w/ Internet, Phone, and TV.

Need to cut Comcrap asap!
