Considering I own a Mazda 6i and sat in an RX-8 on the showroom floor for a while as I was waiting and considering I've rented many a Mustang in the last few years, I can safely say the Mustang is in no way in the same class re:fit and finish and quality of materials.
huh, so you sat in the redesigned 2005 mustang even though it hasn't been released yet?
Oy vey.

Knowing Ford and considering the Mustang is a pony car, the materials won't be much different. Some of the photos I've seen of the interior leave much to be desired.

Mildly off topic..😉

Anyone know anyone with access to who's on the X-plan list? My guess is if you don't know your on it, you prolly are not, but it be intresting to know if UofW somehow fits in.

And to jump on topic.. Drive both, but I hated the way the RX-8 felt to me while in it. Guess i'm just to tall or something. Another note, Mustangs tend to have odd placed shifters, meaning the reach for the manual and 5th gear is to far for some people. And some say its the same on the new one.

EDIT: Now with Video, nice sound, ugly color. taken from The Mustang source

99 e55-used, but better than a Ford-OP go to one of those dealerships that aren't official Benz/BMW but sell plenty of them. Test drive a used AMG or a Used M3, then post the smile on your face the next day!

i vote rx8 cuz i'm a mazda fanboy, but i have to say, i saw the new mustang at an autox practice last week... it was VERY impressive.... although that could be b/c the driver was very good too

For what it's worth, I've already decided on a fully loaded '05 Mustang GT Premium Coupe with the 5-spd Tremec 3650 gearbox. The only thing I haven't finalized is the color - either Redfire or Sonic Blue.
