Miatas are fun. Brown however...

That's not brown. It's clearly a Burgundy-Maroon (Technically Merlot). Here is one in different light:

So you guys are telling me people will still talk to me about it at random after all? Bad news. Maybe I’ll spray paint it brown …

A review of a Miata from a very different perspective 🙂

Funny and true, and I get it. I am a huge environmentalist, but also an engineer and car enthusiast and to me something is lost with EVs. There is definitely the “this thing shouldn’t work without blowing up” factor, the manual transmission and hydraulic or manual steering, the sound, etc. There isn’t an EV out there (yet?) that I’d want to take on a backroad drive for the sake of driving like I do with a Miata or my old shitbox BMWs.

I don’t really daily drive though, I work from home almost always and walk or bike around town, so my driving is mostly for fun on backroads or at the track.

Anyway, I didn’t buy the one in the pic because the price sucked and he wouldn’t come down. I have a different one on a delivery truck right now from Florida though .. hope it doesn’t suck, I haven’t even seen it in person.

Coming from Flori-duh? Probably a flood vehicle...buyer beware.

Gah, I almost pulled the trigger on a red manual 2023 GT soft top. In the end, I just couldn't justify it.
