Oh snap....he was about the only true journalist left IMO. 🙁

Agreed. Lost a real good one today. One of very few I could actually still stomach on American television. 🙁

KT

true dat, still breaking news on cnn.

MSNBC is still talking about him. Andrea Mitchell almost broke down talking about him, as did David Gregory and Keith Olbermann.

I guess I'm the first to say I had no idea who he was before this. No I don't watch any type of nightly news.

I'm in shock! He was a cornerstone of political news----like Dan Rather, except things he said made sense.

He was just talking about how his kid just graduated college....so sad 🙁 Expect a full Today show dedicated to him on Monday.

Meet the Press won't be the same. 🙁

It wasn't aired last weekend (at least on the west coast) due to the tennis coverage.

I used to hear his voice and watch him cover numerous political events, and seeing him on Meet the Press every Sunday.

He shall be missed dearly. 🙁

Good call for NBC to bring Tom Brokaw back to handle everything.

Brokaw is on MSNBC more often than you may think... I've seen him quite a few times on at night during the primaries.

Hard to imagine feeling bad for a political hack but russert seemed like a genuinely good guy both on and off camera. I feel bad that he's gone like I did for john candy. Good guys that left at the beginning of the 3rd act.

It was fun watching him put the grill on both Dem's and Rep's because he did so
with class and being upfront without being unbearable. I will surely miss his MTP
presence, the only reason I would spend an hour watching it. R.I.P. TR, and
condolences to his family...
