In theory, yes I would. However, price is just one factor in choosing a computer (only given market segments shop solely on price).

I think this is just a PR gimmick by Cook/Apple, just to assuage the PC crowd. Yes, people shouldn't be exploited, but come on, it's China!! Since when is their human rights record any good? lol... And it's not so much wages, but regulations. Making the iPhone, iPad and iPod in the US or any other developed country would mean more bother from governments, which evidently doesn't occur much in China.

Chinese workers there are probably pissed. They'll have their OT hours (and possibly regular pay hours) cut dramatically, and now have an overflow of new employees to compete for work time.

Hahaha, stupid workers got what they wanted. Foxconn will probably save a shit-ton of money on overtime savings too. They got teabagged big time.

I don't think there were too many employees complaining. Apple/FLA stuck it's nose in their business. Foxconn is supposedly one of the cleanest factories in China and treats it's employees fairly good by Chinese standards. And the employees are losing overtime dollars.....

Apple was getting a lot of crap in media for it. There was no way that they were going to sit still on this one. Some of the findings even violated Chinese law, not just Western standards, so it's not such a clear-cut case of stepping on workers who honestly just wanted to put in a lot of overtime.
