To me I think this little bastard wanted attention and got it.
Here's what I don't get. The clock runs on 120VAC. Where did he plug it in so that the alarm went off during class disturbing his class? A lot of this story smells funny and it's not just that.
...It makes the story even funnier though because it's literally just a consumer product without it's cover and everyone freaked out because the cover was off. :awe:
There's a 9V battery connection to make sure the alarm works when it loses AC power. In the police photo, the battery isn't there...but it might have been there before.
So he ditched the battery before the police got there? What for? What else did he ditch? C4? Or worse, a C64 he "invented"? Or worse still, a Batteroo Batteriser now with 800% more battery capacity for those extended terrorist trips from gym to lunch to recess? Let me guess. He invented recess.
Oh exalted recess inventor do advise our dear leader on how to maximize recess for all! For this you shall receive 2 new Batteroo Batterisers compliments of the Batty Batteroo team! But call in the next 60 seconds and receive not 2, not 3 but 4! Yes 4 new Batteroo Batterisers absolutely FREE!
Legal disclaimer: We have no way of knowing nor caring if you called in 60 seconds because this commercial airs multiple times per day. May not be combined with other offers. User discretion is advised. This tape will self destruct in 5 seconds. Yes we know no one uses tape in 2015. Well we affixed some scotch tape to a memory stick so up yours.
I didn't read your whole post and I'm heading to work, but I'm saying it has the capability of powering the alarm by 9V battery, so he didn't *necessarily* connect the AC power cord. If there was a battery, the police could have removed it for all I know. Probably the best way to silence the alarm when the buttons were no longer labeled.
The terrorists have clearly won. I'm not joking. Look at our paranoia and new laws past, present, and future...
Even domestic terrorists have us locking our kids in schools.
It may yet turn out that his father, orchestrated this event, as I have heard (rumors) that he has already partially done stuff like this, many times before.
Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed, is a Sudanese immigrant, who ran for president in Sudan twice. Mohamed had previously made headlines while trying fight against Islamophobia. He defended the Quran in a mock trial against a Florida pastor, who eventually burnt the Muslim holy book.
The photograph of him in handcuffs that has gone viral, however, was not taken as he was escorted from the high school. Rather, it was staged after his father insisted at the police station that the cuffs remain on so his sister could take the picture.
This video explains what's wrong with Ahmed's "invention."

So what!!!
The foundation of this tread was the fact that a 14 yo Muslim kid got arrested for bringing in what seemly was just a clock.
You posted a video of a guy who gives a rant of how it was a clock/radio etc... Who cares.
It seems, since this whole fiasco looked stupid. Now people are spending time attacking what he's made etc... v.s. getting down to the issue.

which is that he intentionally made something that looked like a bomb and brought it to school
