Yeah but every kid has to start somewhere. It makes the story even funnier though because it's literally just a consumer product without it's cover and everyone freaked out because the cover was off. :awe:

I remember once as a kid I took a toy ambulance apart with a friend. And by taking apart it was mostly by breaking the plastic because I had no screw drivers or anything like that. We called the procedure plastic surgery. lol.

I did the same things too.

Even at 14 though, I would have cut out the case so the display was visible without having to open it up.

To me I think this little bastard wanted attention and got it.

That goddamn little clock sucker is getting all the attention, and all he did was take apart an existing clock, throw it in a pencil case and call it his invention!

How dare he steal the limelight from your...wait what the fuck have you done lately? Whined on the internet? Yeah that doesn't get you a new tablet from Microsoft, an invite to the White House, FaceBook, nor a Twitter internship. I don't mean any disrespect from this but face it: You're just going to have to work hard and smart or you're not going to make it. Unless you become internet famous for doing something stupid. So far being an incessant twit on social media isn't working for you, nor for millions of other twitter followers.

Here's what I don't get. The clock runs on 120VAC. Where did he plug it in so that the alarm went off during class disturbing his class? A lot of this story smells funny and it's not just that.

There's a 9V battery connection to make sure the alarm works when it loses AC power. In the police photo, the battery isn't there...but it might have been there before.

So he ditched the battery before the police got there? What for? What else did he ditch? C4? Or worse, a C64 he "invented"? Or worse still, a Batteroo Batteriser now with 800% more battery capacity for those extended terrorist trips from gym to lunch to recess? Let me guess. He invented recess.

Oh exalted recess inventor do advise our dear leader on how to maximize recess for all! For this you shall receive 2 new Batteroo Batterisers compliments of the Batty Batteroo team! But call in the next 60 seconds and receive not 2, not 3 but 4! Yes 4 new Batteroo Batterisers absolutely FREE!

Legal disclaimer: We have no way of knowing nor caring if you called in 60 seconds because this commercial airs multiple times per day. May not be combined with other offers. User discretion is advised. This tape will self destruct in 5 seconds. Yes we know no one uses tape in 2015. Well we affixed some scotch tape to a memory stick so up yours.

I didn't read your whole post and I'm heading to work, but I'm saying it has the capability of powering the alarm by 9V battery, so he didn't *necessarily* connect the AC power cord. If there was a battery, the police could have removed it for all I know. Probably the best way to silence the alarm when the buttons were no longer labeled.

Ah I see. A plausible explanation. Very well. Carry on.

This youtube video, published in approximately the last 24 hours, gently and nicely explains, how sadly "Gullible America", has been to this (reportedly) Fake "hoax bomb" incident.

I.e. Why the boy and his family set up this incident on PURPOSE.

I.e. it is FAKE.

He has picked up on nearly or even all, of the points that I have been making.

To me now, it is obviously almost certainly a complete FAKE incident.

I hope the parties involved, get an appropriate backlash for what happens, as America quietly realizes, that from the President and below, they have been made a big fool of.

In this thread, I sometimes noticed that it could well be a fake. So I somewhat consider myself as having out smarted the horrible criminals (which is what I now think they are, as they did this on purpose. I.e. It is highly fraudulent).

The terrorists have clearly won. I'm not joking. Look at our paranoia and new laws past, present, and future...

Even domestic terrorists have us locking our kids in schools.

That isn't exactly breaking news. Don't worry though, tireless patriots are working day and night to keep you safe from things they find scary.

It may yet turn out that his father, orchestrated this event, as I have heard (rumors) that he has already partially done stuff like this, many times before.

His father:

Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed, is a Sudanese immigrant, who ran for president in Sudan twice. Mohamed had previously made headlines while trying fight against Islamophobia. He defended the Quran in a mock trial against a Florida pastor, who eventually burnt the Muslim holy book.

The photograph of him in handcuffs that has gone viral, however, was not taken as he was escorted from the high school. Rather, it was staged after his father insisted at the police station that the cuffs remain on so his sister could take the picture.

This video explains what's wrong with Ahmed's "invention."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEmSwJTqpgY

So what!!!

The foundation of this tread was the fact that a 14 yo Muslim kid got arrested for bringing in what seemly was just a clock.

You posted a video of a guy who gives a rant of how it was a clock/radio etc... Who cares.

It seems, since this whole fiasco looked stupid. Now people are spending time attacking what he's made etc... v.s. getting down to the issue.

A number of UK newspapers and other sources have started to recently produce news articles, explaining how some people have noticed, that it is a completely FAKE story. (Or something on those lines).
I.e. The boy and his family have set this incident up on purpose as a stunt.
After hearing all the various accusations and explanations as to why they are being fraudulent and trying to con the general public, of America.

Have the American news sources, realized yet that it is a FAKE story, and created on purpose by the boy and his family ?

Anyone who still believes that it is a genuine story, and the boy and his family are telling the absolute 100% truth.

Needs to go on the holiday of a life time. Send me $49,999. I will than let my King/Prince of Nigeria friend, give you a tremendous holiday in East Korea.
Apparently 78.2% of Americans have never heard of East Korea.

tl;dr
Balloon boy.

NOPE,

It didn't look like a bomb. But a bunch of ignorant teachers/police decided to treat it as it. As a matter of fact, this questions what is suspicious.

I take the rear off my cell phone and pull a couple of the boards out??? Is that now a bomb???
