Tigerdirect SUCKS!!!!

Well in short they received my RMA over a week ago and the status of the RMA hasn't been updated once yet. It just says this order is on hold please call. Now I have called them twice and they have no good reason why its on hold. Today I had them take down my tracking number and now their supposed to get back to me.

I was told by the CSR it would take around 24hrs to process once they received the video card back.

Now I am sitting here tonight and looking through their return policy again. It says they won't accept any returns that are missing the UPC. I had no choice but to cut off the UPC for a rebate! So I get punished for that?

I bought 2 of these cards from them in the same week. Both worked find right off the bat, but then once started acting up and giving me troubles. So now where do I sit? Am I just totally screwed here? Are they going to deny my RMA?! If so I will NEVER ever no matter how good of a deal shop with them again.

I believe this deserves a round of "Duh!"

Sorry about the $. No way to get it back.

#1, you can't return anything without a UPC to anyone, let alone the worst computer company in the world, TigerDirect.
#2, it is tigerdirect.

I've never used them personally but have never heard anything but bad things about them.. always use newegg instead..best online retailer there is IMO

Haha and rightfully so.. I know better than to deal with these
shady a$$ ppl. Damn this sucks. They never told me when I
was calling in for the RMA that it had to have upc in tact. I mean
if a product has a rebate then how can you leave the upc in tact?

If they don't want to lose another customer then they will do the
right thing. I know I should've read their return policy better but
I haven't needed to RMA much of anything before. Just a CPU to
newegg once ( what a breeze ) and a couple HDs to WD.

Errrrrr.. I am and idiot for considering TD!!!

ok 1 more question on this screwed up deal!

How long will it take for the manf. to send me a new video card? First
I gotta get it back from TD.. That looks to be almost impossibly as they
are sloooow and everytime i call them I get nowhere.

Why would they take it back, if you used the UPC?
No stores would do that even Staples.

UPC gets cut and sent in for rebate, its yours for good.
You should have contacted the Manufacturer instead.

Like I said... I never dealt with much RMA before..

They should send me a new video card because I had no choice
but to cut the upc off. It's a TigerDirect rebate.. So if they need
that damn upc so bad then they could contact the rebate center..

I can see it now.. I'll be lucky to get my rebat or my video card.

I should have contacted the manufacturer knowing what I know now. When
I get the card back from TD then I guess thats what I'll do..

If a product is defective.. What good does a damnn UPC do? Its not like they can put
it on a shelf and sell it as open box or something.

Any idea how long it would take to get a replacement from Visiontek? Anyone dealt with them on the RMA end before?

Bottom line if they want me as a customer or any of my family for that matter then they will do the right thing. They are only 1.5 hours from my house.

Whats funny is the CSR's at TD try to sell you extra stuff even after you been calling in to complain. They ask you Did you know about the ink cartridges we have on sale?

I know their forced to say it from their manager but thats stupid.

this is a lame thread just to whine about a vendor when its a problem you created, not them.

but look at the bright side, you should be getting a couple rebate checks in the next couple months. :p

yeah my problem but oh well. lesson learned.

maybe obvious to those whole dealt with return process's alot but I have been
luck and not received hardly any defective goods. I also used to not mess with
rebates. I will be lucky to ever see these TD rebates from what I've heard.

Oh.. and one more thing.. this is costing me right now. TD is too dumb to even email or phone me that there is a problem! Instead my video card is just sitting in some warehouse of theirs collecting dust when they shoud have shipped it back to me by now. With my luck I will have to drive the damn 1.5 hours to get it back.

Between you and me I don't really think they give a crap if you remain a customer or not. Stop giving yourself too much credit, you don't matter that much. For every person that gets screwed over by them, theres a hundred that haven't heard the horror stories that will still do business with them. In a global marketplace the individual consumer really matters very little.

Only thing I bought from tiger direct were 2 1000VA UPSs for 100$, worked out ok but I don't like their shipping prices at all.
