My laptop drive failed, bought a new drive and windows install disk. TD sold me "Total Defense" saying it would replace all my lost device drivers. The disk i received only had a small install file on it and did nothing. TD refused to take it back AND suggested I buy a new computer to fix my lost device drivers! If they don't stand behind what they sell then tigerdirect sucks!!!!!

Bought a driver disk on the net and everything is back up and running. Cost > $8 not the 49.99 that TD charged for a disk that did nothing

After eleven years, you certainly can start a new thread to complain.

Well in short they received my RMA over a week ago and the status of the RMA hasn't been updated once yet. It just says this order is on hold please call. Now I have called them twice and they have no good reason why its on hold. Today I had them take down my tracking number and now their supposed to get back to me.

I was told by the CSR it would take around 24hrs to process once they received the video card back.

Now I am sitting here tonight and looking through their return policy again. It says they won't accept any returns that are missing the UPC. I had no choice but to cut off the UPC for a rebate! So I get punished for that?

I bought 2 of these cards from them in the same week. Both worked find right off the bat, but then once started acting up and giving me troubles. So now where do I sit? Am I just totally screwed here? Are they going to deny my RMA?! If so I will NEVER ever no matter how good of a deal shop with them again.

:frown:
The UPC thing is common sense: you can't buy a product, claim a rebate, and return the product or else you just got paid for devaluing their merchandise. By claiming the rebate you forfeit your ability to return the merchandise and only have exchange as an option if it fails.

Is this RMA a straight return or an exchange?

LOL I'm pretty sure this is no longer an issue considering the thread date.
