Tiger Woods in serious single car accident

purbeast0

No Lifer

They said on TV that he is in the hospital with "moderate to critical" injuries right now.

Today on the local sports station they were talking about how in his interview the other day with Jim Nantz he just seemed off, like he was on pain killers again. This is the interview.

I'm pretty sure he will be missing the Masters this year at this point but I really hope he is okay and wasn't on drugs again that caused the crash. There is no excuse for him to not have a personal driver if that is the case.

Saw this on another forum, not sure how accurate it is:

His agent says ‘multiple leg injuries, in surgery’.

Not like Los Angeles has snow or anything....major snow that is....

Sadly, I think he was impaired in some way again.

Supposedly....peeps in the area said that road has a lot of accidents.
Perhaps, but single car accidents seems not easy to pull off where that car went off the road. It's a divided highway with a median. Unless someone cut in front of him really aggressively and he managed to hit no one.

Or he himself was speeding and lost control, which would be a really shitty way to get hurt also.

He was driving a golf tournament courtesy vehicle. The side of the vehicle says "Genesis Invitational." The front of the vehicle is totally smashed in. Judging by the helicopter views he hit a stationary obstacle at 45+ mhp before rolling over. That is a really bad looking accident.

It's golf, so I really couldn't care, but I'd say odds are good he's done after this. I remember hearing something on the radio awhile back how he was already pretty banged up, bunch of back surgeries already under his belt.

Probably time for a personal driver Tiger, you can probably still afford one easily.

Apparently he was pissed about something and was driving recklessly. He almost hit a Director who was filming an episode of Grown-ish.

Says police do not think he was under the influence. Who knows though. I think his Golf career is over.

yeah, he just had his 5th back surgery.

i think everyone is predicting that his dwindling odds of beating Jack Nicholson's record in golf is now nill because of the accident.
dont see him doing a Lance Armstrong comeback.

edit:
goes double against Jack Nicklaus's record 😛

Wow this looks pretty bad, they're showing it on the news here and it looks like car basically went over a cliff or something.

Yet here you are posting in a thread about it...

You are so cool.

1. My interest is in how this country treats celebrities, the inequities and absurdities that are often involved.
2. This thread isn't about golf
3. Find another bowl of cereal since someone pissed in the one you're eating from
4. I am fucking cool and don't you forget it

Rods and screws and pins. Oh My!

"He underwent a lengthy emergency surgery on his lower right leg and ankle at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, the statement said. The leg fractures were comminuted, meaning the bone was broken into more than two parts, and open, meaning the broken bone was exposed to open air, creating risk of an infection..."

"Orthopedic trauma specialists inserted a rod into his tibia to stabilize both the tibia and fibula bones, stabilized the foot and ankle bones with a combination of screws and pins, and relieved pressure to the muscle and soft-tissue of his leg by surgically releasing the covering of the muscle..."

Wow. At this point he should become a cyborg. Artificial legs, hip, arms etc. Play until he is 100 that way.
