Tiger kills teen during photo pose

From what I heard, she scared the poor thing by confusing it. The tiger was acclimated to humans, but it probably wasn't used to having teenage girl go nuts and scream.

Tragic story, two lives lost that shouldn't have been.

Darwin theory proved for the day.

and if you don't know a tiger is a dangerous animal then chances are you would have died in some other similar sort of situation where common sense played a pivotal role.

😕

I will never understand our arrogance as human beings that we are somehow better than, and able to make wild animals do as we please:roll:

Strangely enough in Thailand in Kanchanburi province there's a buddhist monastery where they have an animal sancturary where you can go up and stroke tigers...

...they have them drugged however

Apparently they started drugging them after one tiger killed it's trainer/feeder who was a monk there. Perhaps it's strange there wasn't a tragedy like that earlier.

what the fvck are you getting at? :|

That if they hadn't killed the tiger in that case, it would've been no surprise. One, animals that well trained are hard to come by, and two, not all human life is worth saving over an animal's.
yes all human life is worth saving over an animals. although your opinion seems to differ.

is it of your opinion that only some human lives are worth saving over an animals?
like Roy was old so he can die, but a 17 year old pretty chick is worthy?

It is my opinion that some animals are worth more than some humans. I'd much rather a good dog lived that brings some happiness and companionship into someones life as opposed to a child rapist. But maybe that's just me.

No, ANIMALITY! Sorry, I had to do that, but this isn't somehting to joke about.

Edit: Anoye have that video clip of a tiger killing an alligator?

I can't help but feel she got what she deserved, what kind of asshat would "pose" with a tiger as if it is just some kind of photo prop

There was no reason to kill the tiger. It shouldn't have been in the sanctuary in the first place. First you take it away from it's natural habitat. Then you have this idiot teen invade the tiger's space. When the tiger does what it would do in it's natural home, they kill the tiger. Fvck them.

I simply couldn't have said it any better.

The kind of person who was told to pose there by their senior class photographer? Obviously some details are missing, but it sounds like it's possible there are going to be several parties facing a lawsuit, possibly even her school.

And yeah, she's a dumb b!tch for freaking out. Been tons of studies on agressive psychology (or more appropriately "instincts") in cats, and the surest way to get attacked is to act like someone who is going to get attacked. (to correct a previous post, it is not that she frightened or intimidated or even irritated the cat, but that she responded like prey, which triggered the cat's predator instinct)

i heard about this.
my first thought was ick, imagine having to see the body after that happens.....
2nd thought was wtfbbq did you pose next to a tiger for?
3rd thought = Darwin FTW
