Thumb pain

Hey everyone for the past few weeks I've developed a pain in the base of my thumb during lifting. The problem is I can't recreate the pain in any way to narrow down what it could be -- only happens when lifting (bench, pull ups, deadlift etc.)

I rested for a week and it felt much better but then out of nowhere it hurt even worse (during squats --go figure). It seems like any pressure on my Palm from the bar or pulling from my fingers like with pull ups causes it.

Do I just have to rest the hand and do cardio for a month? The pain isn't severe but it's enough to get me to immediately drop what I'm doing when it shoots through my hand.

Can't think of what started it exactly... think it was gradual... noticed it first during benching. Checked some common grip issues and my bench grip seemed fine (wrists not bent or anything).

I'd like to see a doctor or therapist but no real health insurance right now (only Obamacare catostrophy).

Not lifting crazy amounts of weight (225 bench), body weight (175) pull ups/chin ups can create the pain. Really can't pinpoint it, since I can move and stretch my thumb and hand normally without feeling anything but a litttttle soreness.
