No one is saying that we shouldn't. But as usual, you are using ignorance, straw men, and flat out lies in order to attack free speech you disagree with.

What? How am I attacking free speech? That is ridiculous.

Can you expand on that? I am absolutely a small government pro-freedom type. Where do you see the discrepancy?
I see that many people like to believe that they're something they clearly aren't. All you're doing here is attacking free speech you disagree with so that you can protect a government with a well-known history of abusing its authority. Can you not see the discrepancy?

No, I have no idea what you are talking about. Protecting the government? I'm attacking free speech?

The guy who supports the president who lies about literally everything wants you to know he cares about the truth.

I for one will be looking forward to a thorough audit of ICE activity when the next administration takes over. I have a feeling there’s going to be a lot of rot to be cut out.

Is ICE suddenly not a govt agency in your mind?
Do you somehow not realize that you're attacking free speech every time you claim speech you disagree with is 'violent' even when no violence has occurred?
And just to be clear here, you label all free speech you disagree with as 'violent,' specially for the intent of chilling that free speech.

ICE is a government agency, yes.

I am not attacking free speech, I'm making commentary about what people have said using their free speech rights. Peaceful protesting is fine, it is great. Making menacing comments, "I know where your children live." is inciting violence, it is a barely veiled threat. I think people need to be careful with that kind of speech as it starts to head in a direction that could be illegal, and certainly is not constructive in any way.

Think about it, you and I disagree a lot, sometimes conversations can even get heated. If I ever told you I know where your <insert loved one here> live, mentioned the name of the town they live in, and was saying it in a threatening way, wouldn't that cross a line in your mind?

No, you just label ALL speech that you disagree with in the 'containers' of 'leftist' and 'violent' with the intent of chilling that free speech.
Oh, and BTW, have you heard the story of The Boy Who Cried Wolf? It's a good one..

Agent provocateurs are a distinct possibility here. It's not like it never happened before.

ICE actually destroys families, get children dead.
Someone yells at an ICE agent what if I did the same to you.

Is that the gist of it?

Also, did Trump push birtherism?

And can you explain to me whats going on here

If it comes from the left, yes I label it as "leftist." I don't blame fascism as leftist. I blame violent Antifa methods as, "leftist violence." Because I criticize stupid things that stupid people say, I am not "chilling" the speech, I'm not pushing for the government to censor anyone. But, when these people are threatening ICE agents / personnel, it IS in fact violent threats coming from leftists. Sorry if that upsets you, but that is the scenario described here.

We still need a dedicated group to help enforce the law for those that do successfully illegally cross the border, though.

Waste of money. Transfer the units dealing with smuggling, human trafficking and Homeland security/counter-terror back to regular ol' DHS. Allow state and local authorities to refer criminals for deportation as they see fit.

there is no violent left wing group. This "leaked" today because the alt-white is freaking out that the country thinks they are the only violent political group.

I know, this is SUCH a huge issue to the left now. So much angst, so much rage, so much feels. So horrible that we'd dare process people that we know nothing about looking to come set up life in our country.

The irony is that you guys care a lot more about who started it than I do.
What exactly are you so afraid of? What do you think is going to happen if total strangers enter our 3.8m sq mile country?

I'm not the one who got so upset I had to start a thread about it. And you don't "criticize stupid things that stupid people say," you falsely label every speech you disagree with here as "violent," which absolutely does chill free speech. Because, as you want the govt to do something about this speech you falsely label as "violent," you absolutely are trying to censor free speech. Just like your guy in the White House who says "fake news" (by which he means any news he disagrees with) is the "enemy of the People." Yeah, no attempt to censor free speech there, right?

As for your antifa bogeyman, I'll be observing first hand the Proud Boys protest this weekend in Portland, where rhey'll be holding a "free speech rally" demanding that any speech they disagree with be considered domestic terrorism. I expect it to be much like last year's, where a few useful idiot masked hooligans (aka antifa) are used as a convenient excuse for armed right wing extremists to start riots and brawls in our fair city's streets.

You need to turn off the Fox news, buddy, and start watching the real world. It's not what they've been telling you.

This is what they're afraid of:

"In 1960, whites were 90 percent of the country. The Census Bureau recently estimated that whites already account for less than two-thirds of the population and will be a minority by 2050. Other estimates put that day much sooner.
"One may assume the new majority will not be such compassionate overlords as the white majority has been. If this sort of drastic change were legally imposed on any group other than white Americans, it would be called genocide. Yet whites are called racists merely for mentioning the fact that current immigration law is intentionally designed to reduce their percentage in the population."

Yep. The GOP has been stoking white fear to win since Gingrich, at least. Obama as President really sent a whole bunch of dumb motherfuckers into a tizzy & fattened the coffers of gun makers & the NRA in no small way.
