Yelling at people related to ICE, "I know where your kids live" and other threats. This is not the way to get change, this is how people get polarized, how we become further divided. I really worry for the direction of the country, it used to be America first and we worked to find compromise. Now it is two different groups living in one country with very differing opinions on how to proceed forward. And in the case of the left, they definitely are putting party ahead of country today.

There's a tremendous irony to you, who always chooses party over country, making a claim like this. I have yet to see you offer significant criticism (emphasis on "significant") of anything Trump or the Republicans has done.

I don't condone violence against ICE, but it needs dramatic reforms and possibly dissolution in favor of an organization that's less incentivized to abuse its power and betray the country's values.

It was more civil when both sides were working with facts...unfortunately GOP have abandoned that because they can't win with facts.

Everybody needs to remain civil in the face of greater Trump outrage every day. I mean, we should be willing to compromise with the spawn of Satan, shouldn't we?

Slow isn't a person but rather a persona, a marketing construct of sorts. He's selling the White Culture War. Of course he's morally depraved for doing it.
And the fact that he is keeps him from knowing it. He was conditioned to hate depravity and would find pain knowing he hates himself. He isn’t actually depraved except you act what you believe. That is why I would like to help him see that. We are what we eat and he eats the food of belief that can’t be questioned.

As soon as you say they keep kids in cages you lose all credibility.

Considering that the conditions children are kept is poor on a good day, resulting in deaths due to Trump's policies (which weren't in force in the past) yeah, you lose all credibility. Every bad thing that happens due to policy or lack of proper behavior stops on Trump's desk whether you like it or not. I am sure many people in ICE are fine, however, the facts are that your team has worked hard to make them hated. Congrats, you are getting what you asked for so be proud of being so efficient at making things so bad.

If it's a family, it's unlikely that human trafficking is involved. There's no good reason to separate children from parents for extended periods other than to send a message of cruelty to others. Identities can be verified with parents and children in the same facility.

Who the fuck brought up Trump in this little conversation? Or are you looking for something, assuming it's there?

I care no matter who's president. Assuming this was happening during Obama's admin, it should have been addressed then as well. That still doesn't preclude reasonable people from wishing it to end, and wishing some kind of punishment on those that permitted/enforced it.

Not sure if you were aware or not, but when a group crosses the border and an adult claims they are a family, that isn't always the case.

Families were separated during the Obama era. Want to see something funny? The pics that are often posted online and used by protesters are Obama-era photos.

Often used to whine about Trump. Bottom line, this information was NOT hidden before, no one cared, no one at all. Trump gets in office, the TDS kicks in, and now this is a humanitarian issue, America has concentration camps, ICE are Nazis, etc. etc. Pathetically see through.

So, Obama leveraged family separations seeking political advantage from the deplorables, or what? Had his AG puff it up as some great thing? I mean, every xenophobic bigoted idiot in America loves Trump for it, don't they?

Families were separated to be punitive to deter families attempting entering under asylum. Members of the Trump administration already admitted this.

Obama separated children when it was determined they were not with their families. Not as punishment. Two different things.

Even if that is the case, I'm not against it given that most of those people are not really seeking asylum, but a way to circumvent the system to get a fast pass into the US.

As this racist Russian points out, entry to America and the rights that come with citizenship is a very valuable thing.

I really don't give a shit under what administration this began. What I care about is it ending. I also care about holding people accountable, no matter what fucking letters are accompanied by their name.

I also care about shitheads like you #bothsidesing it or finding a way to make it a partisan issue rather than a humanitarian issue. The fact that you care more about who started it than those affected says a lot about you.

I know, this is SUCH a huge issue to the left now. So much angst, so much rage, so much feels. So horrible that we'd dare process people that we know nothing about looking to come set up life in our country.

The irony is that you guys care a lot more about who started it than I do.

Never ceases to amaze how many of the small government pro-freedom 'conservatives' on this forum are always arguing for government and against freedom.

Can you expand on that? I am absolutely a small government pro-freedom type. Where do you see the discrepancy?
