Threadripper 2 w 256gb ram?

According to AMD, Threadripper 2 CPUs support "up to 2tb ram".
However, most of the TR4 motherboards I read the specs of, declare support for "up to 128gb ram".

Are you aware of any TR4 motherboard that will support more than 128gb ram?
If not, has anyone tried to install more than 128gb ram anyway?

Thanks

I assume AMD, Intel etc. design their products with a little bit of insight into the near future - so I'd be surprised to know that since 32gb sticks were not available on TR4's launch day, but rather a few months later - then they are never going to be supported.

I have seen 32gb sticks popping out here and there since this early summer by the way. Still, we are both just guessing. Before I squander on 256gb, better see some hard proof

Sure, Intel 9th gen desktop chips are also rumored to support 128gb of ram via the 32gb modules.

I can't imagine the cost of high speed 32gb modules, though.

That's squarely in workstation territory.
Unfortunately there are no workstation TR4 boards as of this date.
