Back to court for North Dakota with under a week to go.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/31/poli...1T19:25:07&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twCNN

Many Native Americans "simply have no residential address because the government has not assigned them one. Others have been assigned an address, but it was never communicated to them," the court document reads.

"Rarely will one encounter a road sign in rural areas of reservations," the court document continues. Many roads have been assigned "multiple, conflicting names," the complaint reads, and many houses have "multiple, conflicting numbers."

Wait wait...I found one! What do I win???

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/no...-claims-they-could-lose-out-of-state-licenses

North Dakota Democratic Party discourages hunters from voting, claims they could lose out-of-state licenses

Hmm...why are they suppressing the hunter vote? Well, my sources tell me 98% of hunters in ND are white or Native American. Since the native vote was already suppressed, clearly this is aimed at white hunters!! Shame on those Democrats!!!

Oh so close. Not the state Democratic party changing voting rules to disenfranchise white Republicans. Nice try Fox News

It is a dirty trick by the group that ran the ad and I don't approve. Similar to when Republicans sent out mailers that voting day is Wed after real day.

Now if the state changed their rules to reflect that ad you would have a winner. I'm still holding out hope one will be found.

Still waiting folks. I thought it was #bothsides??

Here you go. MD sets up it's electoral districts do that 7 of 8 Delegates are Democratic. But, the state as a whole just elected a Republican to his second term as Governor in race that wasn't even close.

MD definitely usefully leans blue, but not 7-1.

Hopefully it will be fixed.

And to be clear I despise all gerrymandered districts.

Gerrymandering is a #bothsides problem. Lines need to reflect counties. No one in spaghetti districts is prevented from voting.

Did MD enact any laws, make changes or take any actions that disenfranchise white Republicans??

Well this election is over. We have ZERO Democratic states disenfranchising white Republicans. There are many of us who are not surprised. As someone else noted those incompetent Democrats can't even cheat as well as Republicans.

Ahem... you clearly did not read the article I posted.

I'll quote the relevant portion of the 3 judge panels decision. Republican voters were disenfranchised by unconstitutionally putting them into districts based on political affiliation so their votes wouldn't be reflected in their federal representation.

"
In its ruling Wednesday, the three-judge panel declared the district unconstitutional and found that the state intended to lessen the influence of GOP voters by replacing them with Democrats in violation of the First Amendment right to political association.

“The massive and unnecessary reshuffling of the Sixth District, involving one-half of its population and dictated by party affiliation and voting history, had no other cause than the intended actions of the controlling Democratic officials to burden Republican voters by converting the District” into a Democratic one, Niemeyer wrote in his 59-page opinion.

Gerrymandering is a different kind of unfairness than using a variety of means to make it difficult for selected targets to vote. The GOP claims it's fine in general, provided it's not racial. They've done it extensively since the last census. If the Maryland decision holds it will overall do them a helluva lot more harm than good. The Maryland GOP is shooting the rest of them in the ass.
