It was clearly written before AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon released their updates for US Note II devices, but it shows that Samsung did not officially announce that the Note II was getting KitKat and yet it got it anyway... officially.
These reports that the Note 3 isn't getting Marshmallow completely ignore Samsung's history with the Note series. From everything I have read, these reports are based on based on nothing more than the Note 3 being missing from Samsung's confirmation that it's coming to other devices. That logic obviously didn't apply to the Note II before. If history repeats itself then we will see Marshmallow on the Note 3... officially.
