I don't particularly work out to the degree I follow a regimen, so I don't have a 6 pack or whatever but because I'm still somewhat skinny (5'10" 150lbs) I have a relatively flat stomach. But whenever I eat and drink a bit more than "till I'm full", it bulges - very unsightly. Is this normal? Is it because my stomach muscles aren't developed? It goes back down if after a while I release some gas but it's still bigger because I am full. Do six-pack guys who eat too full get big like this too? I am actually trying to gain weight so I'm working in the calories.

Yes normal. It's just food in the stomach taking space and your stomach expanding to accommodate it. So instead of a flat stomach with a 6 pack, it sticks out and you get a distended 6 pack while the food is in you. Once it's gone you get back to your normal flat stomach with or without 6 pack.

you should see that the left side bulges out more than the right side. After all, that's where the stomach is.
