But mr Jerboy, how far can you go with quality for a freakin wall outlet? My point was that Taiwanese, US made, Canadian, whatever, most of the time they're all the same. It's like paper clips, they do the job, what the hell else can you do to improve on them?
BTW, Jerboy doesn't deserve his own rant section. Good rants are usually made by intelligent people are are usually funny

<< Do you guys know what I'm talking about or do y'all simply don't give a damn about quality ? >>

Whenever you rant this way it is difficult for me to figure out what you mean. Many of your sentences seem to lack cohesion, that coupled with the numerous grammatical errors make it a chore.

With other's I might take the time to try to infer meaning, however that may incite you to further ranting so, generally, I decline to in your case.

Yeah, Jerboy, this is something with which I've had a problem as well. Some of your posts simply seem like a foreigner wrote them. It's not always necessarily bad grammar, but you sometimes say stuff in a way that a native English speaker wouldn't. Are you a native English speaker? (maybe this has been covered before, but I'm pretty new here)

It's site, for a website. Sight is the vision one. For example: Sight unseen is an Elite with a clue, when I read a post written by you. Hey as a bonus that rhymes. :D

Uh, Joyboy, you can get quality products for the home; it's just that your parents couldn't afford to buy a quality home. Why don't you just rant at them for being so cheap.

<< Wattgate Duplex outlets, $1445 for a ten pack

<< Installation of the 381 is simple and efficient due to rear wiring and large, #10 brass terminal screws. The terminal clamps are gold plated, solid brass and shaped to better grip the conductors. Like the 330 and 350, the 381 leaves the competition behind with its contacts. They are configured in a triple-wipe design to allow the plug blade to be gripped at three separate points. Additionally, the contacts are made of very heavy-duty material to maximize the clamping spring-rate and ensure conductivity and the three-layer plating process is also completed on the 381: Oxygen free copper plating, electroless nickel, and finally 24k gold plating dramatically improves conductivity and prevents
corrosion.

Wait, why'd you put those in the same sentence?

Anyway, Jerboy, you're doing something that the plug wasnt designed for. Its designed to hold a plug securely, not a power pack... and STFU Man really wants you to stop looking at porno.

EDIT: Damn you Jerboy, I wasted my 2,000th post on this...

I have to say Underwriter's laboratory is BS alot of the time. Did you know their 1996 certfication for surge protector was granted when they put the surge protector in question and won't set cheesecloth on fire when it's wrapped around it and subjected to surge? If it chars or blackens, it will pass the test. So far as long as cheesecloth doesn't catch on fire.

Do you guys know what I'm talking about or do y'all simply don't give a damn about quality ?

lol yea, thats why so many people buy cheap surge protectors:p from the packaging its hard to tell anything about the quality really:p

and if your house was built a decade or two ago.. its expected that some stuff is gonig to be kind of lousy. we've advanced a little over time:) and contractors aren't going to shell for anything fancy if your house isn't a luxury home. no biggy, easy fix:p plus now you can get outlets with that protection circuit.. like if you accidentally dump your hair dryer into water. i forgot the name:( they have two buttons.

GFCI, ground fault circuit interrupt, or just plain GFI, ground fault interrupt. Just be careful not to use up all the little interrupts inside the macroprocessor, or your hair will look like Don King's permanently. Unless of course you ARE Don King, in which case it's ok to take a bath with your hair dryer without a GFCI outlet.

<< As old Jack Burton would say at a time like this when the crap is flying and the stars are falling from the heavens - y'know what old Jack would say - he'd say "What the Hell!" and update "The Great Scroll"....

and....

Jerboy gets by with a little help from his friends....
>>

It took me a while to recover from that. lol

Jerboi, I've only seen two of your posts, but man, you must've done something to these people. Are threads like this common?
>>

You did read the whole scroll, right? If he starts a thread, its pure whining 99% of the time. And yes, threads like this are fairly common, though the rate of occurence is going down
