This song and video is strangely addictive.

Utada Hikaru's latest single (Feb 2006). I love the whole surreal world with exuberant upbeat message. The title "Keep Tryin'" fits perfectly.

I don't consider Utada as pretty but there's something magical about her in this music video with all these different uniforms.

I just watched this five times... I swear they put crack in this music.

I'm not a music scholar, and I like the song, but that flat transition thing should only be done once or twice, it drives me nuts... so dischordant.

Is that an asian thing???

W00T! Thx OP. Video had its wierd moments but overall very very good. The song is awesome. Always love the stuf from Utada Hikaru. Definitely a keeper. Bro will like to hear this. Also, for everyone else, I have a very braod taste in music. Toby Kieth, Linkin Park, Dragonforce, Nelly, and various songs from the 50's through 80's. And im only 17 . I say this mostly as a anti-stereotyping message to those who believe if you like this song, you must only watch anime and listen to Japanese music while trainingg for their next chikan meeting. Also to those who think that teens who listen to rap ONLY listen to rap

stop stereotyping. that music video is weird on purpose.

Her 'normal' video

This song was a major hit 7-8 yrs ago.

Ever seen her music video Sakura Drops or Traveling?

I liked First Love's music video as it was "normal", a lot of her music videos were weird after that. I'm not stereotyping, I watch japanese music videos all the time and 90 percent of the time they are weird as hell.

haven't really listened to her latest stuff, but anything has got to be better than easy breezy. 😀

More like they put Crack in your Wheaties.

That song is horrible, even worse than the trash Paris Hilton is doing and that is garbage.

i'm gonna save this thread and watch/listen when I get home.

I really liked some of her older stuff...so i'm going to wait and see for myself if this new song is as bad as some of you are saying. hehe.

I sing First Love at asian karaokes...i know the words by heart and i'm not even Japanese. It's probably my favorite japanese song ever (not that i know of many japanese songs..lol). hehe.

If you dont have an ear for j-pop then its probably best that you dont trash it in the first place  Keep music opinions based upon the genre its in. Dont try to compare Hikaru to Dragonforce, Tool, or Chamillionare. Compare her to Shigake and other Japanese musical artists. If you dont like that genre, then dont say anything. Or simply say "I don't have a taste for that kind of music." Just quit threadcrapping.

To you question"What do I think is good"" Well for starters how about Al Dimeola, Paco De Luca and John McGlaughlin doing "Mediterranean Sun Dance"!

My g/f just caught me watching this and she now wonders about my orientation....as do I after watching it. Keep this crap to yourself.....
