All of my friends are going to buy Unreal 2 without even finishing the first one. They're going to do the same thing with Doom III, too. Doesn't that bother you that people buy the new sequel without playing the fantastic original(s)? Doom and Doom II are great games yet my friends refuse to play them/beat them because of their age and "graphics". Unreal was also a fantastic game which they also refuse to play.
 
😀 Calm down guy... its their money not yours... but then again... im a Gran Turismo 1,2, & 3 freak and when my friend told me he gave up on the game because he couldn't pass the license test... i went :Q :| 😀

Aren't you the one who failed history class? Doesn't it bother you that people go on living the future without learning about the fantastic past?
 
if the storylines continue then it may be of some interest to do it, but i don't see it as necessary. i haven't played the original unreal but that won't stop me from picking up Unreal 2.
 
on a similar note, I never played GTA1 but when GTA2 came out, I bought it the first day. Does that make yoiur blood boil? 😛
 
It is sacrelige to play Doom III without first savoring the VGA goodness of Doom I and II. Some of the best single-player level designs and gameplay ever. Remember when you got your first adrenaline pak and went on a bare-fisted rampage? Your first chainsaw? The Super Shotgun?

Yes. People get into them because of their innovativeness and graphics. Only one of my friends ever played Metal Gear Solid before they bought the second one. I absolutely loved the originals on SNES (The truck are moving, hehe) then MGS came around then MGS2 Sons of Liberty rolled around which I didn't care for at all since being Snake was very limited.

Let's be serious here. Who hasn't played at least one of the first two Warcrafts? I had a hell of a time on my 486 with War I.
