Their stamin runs out like clockwork with their guy getting into office? How convenient.

The real "convenience" is from the indignant, dishonest right, who, just as they suddenly decided the deficit was a problem on January 20, 2009, also decided that foreign policy messes and abrogation of civil rights were a problem starting on January 20, 2009.

Your routine is a transparent fraud.

Yes, I will bring up Gitmo. Him trying or not trying to close should have nothing to do with protesting it remains open.

What do you expect -- people to spend year after year on picket lines for something they know is not going to change?

Where is your outrage for the criminal asshole of a president who created the Guantanamo mess in the first place? Or for the Republican cowards who were "skeered" of allowing these prisoners to be moved to maximum security prisons in the US?

That said, there are people still protesting that Guantanamo is still open. Here is a blog entry from the bloody New York Times complaining about this issue.

It was posted just three days ago, and I found it in 15 seconds -- why couldn't you? Oh right -- because you don't actually give a shit about the truth on these matters, you just want to hammer "liberals" with bullshit strawman arguments.

I'm sorry, but this entire "issue" boils down to this for me: right-wingers who probably supported Bush making all of these messes, and probably supported John "Bomb-bomb-bomb, bomb-bomb Iran" McCain over Obama in 2008, and also probably supported Mitt "Foreign Policy? What's That? Oh, I'm Sure Bush's People Can Handle It" Romney over Obama last year, suddenly deciding that out of all the foreign policy screwups and criminal behavior and other misdeeds of the last 12 years, that the real issue is that the left isn't complaining enough about Obama.

To that, all I can say is: you're all full of it. And incredibly obviously so.

Maybe people aren't complaining that much about Obama because they know he was the best choice available and they know he's dealing with a large number of clusterfucks left behind by the most incompetent administration in recent history.

Maybe they should complain more. But you people are the last ones who have any business criticizing anyone when it comes to this issue.

Whether some are or are not in favor of targeted killings is not the point. The point is that legions of leftists were up in arms about things Bush was doing, but are now completely silent about their dear leader doing the same things (or in some cases, worse things). That just proves that they didn't really care about what was going on, they just cared about the fact that someone with an (R) behind his name was doing it.

Why don't you read the f'ing thread. The left isn't completely silent, you are completely deaf, and numerous folk have pointed out that absolute undeniable fact in this thread.

You are full of shit. There's nothing more to it than that -- your claims are false, you can't back them up, counterexamples have been provided right in this thread, and you keep on repeating the same nonsense.

Please dont tell me you are serious. Where is the criticism of obama from the left on here, All I am seeing is partisan hacks defending him at all costs. I have seen very little criticism from the left towards obama and when there is criticism a lot of it is about wanting him to be more leftist/progressive which is just wrong

As opposed to people like you criticizing Obama at all costs to and including lying or mis-stating the truth about Obama.....hmmmm...slippery slope....

That's pretty generous of you, calling it a person.

Just put it on ignore. It never says anything worth responding to, it just regurgitates talking points or other people's posts. I'm still not convinced that it isn't some sort of twisted version of a Turing test.

Whatever you do, for the sake of everyone's sanity, please don't quote it!

I criticize him whenever he does something wrong or screws up, Nothing wrong with that at all.

`it` I am a real person and one of the intelligent posters on here. Since I go against both parties and the status quo while exposing the truth people do attack me and get angry

These wars require a declaration of war from the congress AND are only allowed when the country actually poses a threat

Those wars didn't meet this criteria, So will you condemn obama for the killing of the children

"the left" and Obama had/have very different opinions about Afghanistan than they do about Iraq.

Exactly. There wasn't nearly so much an anti-war outcry as an anti-invasion of Iraq outcry. There was far more support for our actions in Afghanistan. Plus as I mentioned earlier, even that anti-Iraq war sentiment was limited initially. Most of the left were supportive of the Iraq invasion at first.

This picture is a much better depiction of that state of American Politics in the U.S. than the OP's

that one is partisan this one is more... shall we say bi-partisan...

profiles_gullibility_4106_308165.jpeg

Or deficit spending and big govt.

Well, President Bush was for all intents and purposes the only president to cut taxes while the U.S. was at war (even if not officially declared)... that's a pretty big foul up right there.

You realize this supports this thread and the OP's pic right? And above all my point? I said earlier to DVC that one can make a picture of other topics including deficit spending.

It doesnt matter this picture of the now silent anti-war left. It could easily be a picture of neo-cons who were silent on Bush's spending spree and war mongering and are up in arms about Obama continuing it.

It is like you never read what I wrote. I clearly said Bush is open to criticism for all of these topics. But what about now? The level of outrage that Obama continues the practices has subsided.
That said, there are people still protesting that Guantanamo is still open. Here is a blog entry from the bloody New York Times complaining about this issue.

The level of anger in this point tells me you have taken this personal. The anti-war left has all but disappeared. If Bush was still in office the level of outrage would be far far higher. Why you continue to deny this and decide to go personal is beyond me.
Why the anger over people pointing that out? Why do you care if hypocrits from the right are bashing Obama over this? Does it change the fact he is still doing it? Does it change he should be criticized for his actions?
