Earlier in the afternoon, the Transport Workers Union executive voted to end the strike and to resume negotiations with the transit system management even without securing a new contract.

Facing the threat of jail for what has been ruled an illegal strike, union leaders dropped a demand that authorities scrap proposed changes to pension benefits.

I sure am glad I don't pay union dues to these bit*hes! :p

yeah is ok to cosst the members money! but heck rick going to jail? NOOO!


they sure did ruin any future chances though. caving in so early just makes them look weak.

people left early because we were suspicious that the TWU were 'back to work' so as to not get fined...

Not bad. We were delayed for about 10 minutes due to traffic from a truck accident near the Verrazano.
