This makes Monster (the cable company) look like chump change.

These people are deluding themselves if they think they can hear a difference caused by a power cord.

5 bucks says that power cord's "superiority" is negated by the fact they have to have their speaker wire within 1 foot of it since they come out the back of the receiver.

Show me someone who buys this sh!t, and I'll show you someone that has WAY too much f*cking money and not enough common sense to use it.

LOL if I'm going to spend some serious money for something and not have much to show it better taste good!

I wonder if any of the people who buy expensive cables for their HT setups have ever taken apart any of their preamps, receivers, or amplifiers, and looked at the components inside.

No matter how expensive they are, whenever there is need for a wire to be run, they use plain old wire on the inside. Plain old copper wire. How many hundreds of feet of wire do you think is wrapped in a transformer?

Look at powered subs. Take them apart and look at the wire they use to go from the amp to the driver. Plain old copper wire.

Then tell me that some fat, expensive wire from one component to another will help. Total B.S.

I'd love to see some of these "afficionados" humiliated with a sort of Pepsi-challenge comparing the $10,000 cables to the $10 Best Buy ones.

My dad's best friend from grade school has some stereo thats rediculous. He wouldn't tell us how much it cost but he pointed to his mercades benz out side and said, "see that car? This costs more than that car." He said, heres the speaker cable I got, it's the cheap one, it cost $1000 for the cable. It was about an inch think and probably had enough shielding to make me wonder why they did not simply use individual DAC's in each speaker (only 2 speakers).

Crazy thing is... there was no EQ on the stereo at all. All it had was Bass and Treble.
