Its your fault for not having friends. Its also your fault for not knowing how to change a tire without someone else helping you.

Don't feel bad. I'm kinda in the same boat right now. Recently relocated to Louisville to do a co-op session. The only people I know are my roommate and my co-workers. I don't have a car.

I'm the same way. I haven't had friends in over a decade. The people at the office are sort-of-friends, but we only get together online and in RL every few months or so.

Guess I'm a loner.

my friendship is for sale, 30 bucks an hour. 40 bucks if you want to talk. 60 bucks if you want me to talk.

5% fat cash.

Go to one of those game places in the mall where a bunch of nerds play those weird card/dice games (warhammer) in the back on those folding tables. If you can't make a friend there, you haven't any hope.

to have a friend you have to be a friend. go do something about it.

*sigh...

I hate it when people make arguments like this. It's patently false.

Let's say you have a group of 10 people. None of them are friends, and none of them have any friends. Let's apply your rule.

Let's say that one of these 10 people decides he/she wants a friend. Now remember, none of them are friends YET.

"To have a friend you have to be a friend"

So this person goes and befriends one of these 10 people that have NO friends currently.

Now, TWO of these people now have friends, but only one of them had to try.

Some people make friends without trying.
Some people have to try.
Some people try and fail.

This means a couple of things.
A. People are not trying to befriend the OP.(this can hurt a person pretty bad by itself... if people are out trying to befriend people, you'd think someone would try to befriend me)
B. if the OP is trying and failing(even worse)
C. The OP is not trying.

So, why might people not want to befriend the OP???

1. They might want to, but do not know it yet. The OP is not broadcasting his qualities well.
2. The OP is broadcasting his qualities, but they are not the ones people around him desire.
3. The OP is giving off bad vibes.(depressed, doesn't smile, sulks, whiner, etc. or possibly physical. Think BO.)

In any case, you'll have to make friends with people. People like people who have friends, and so the more you have, the more people will want to be your friend.

Caveat: friends as in hang out buddies, not lifelong friends.

Get AAA, then you'll have someone to call :).

What's wrong with seeing a movie alone? I've got friends and I still see movies quite often by myself. Heck, I went and saw Jumper this weekend by myself... two weekends ago I saw Juno by myself. At least I can guarantee that I won't talk during the movie :p.

I don't either, not counting family and co-workers. But, I don't really care - less people to worry about, to listen to their problems, to be approached for money, to be pissed off at when they screw you over, etc.
