this kid is beyond overweight

Stupid parents.

Did they not realise they had a problem when their 5yr old girl got to even 100lbs?! That Even at 100lbs is NOT NORMAL for a 5yr old girl! What about 140lbs? What about 170lbs? And to get to 230lbs.

Her heart MUST be dying right now at the ripe old age of 5yrs. Her joints crying from the pain of her overall mass. She is 5yrs old and hardly capable of reading nutrional values, good food, bad foods etc. Her parents should do a dam better job at looking after her. Some tough love is in order.

Get her to eat less and go on a cycling machine.

Just a thought but with the kid that big can go on disability. Maybe the parents are so low that they are killing thier kids just for the money and medical they get with social security.
 
I wanna laugh so bad, but I feel terrible for the kid. There is no way you should ever let your kid get that fat. I'd don't care how many fits or tamtrums they throw, you should beat their ass instead of feeding them cheeseburgers. I can only imagine the health problems she's going trough or going to get thru this critical developmental stage of her life.

Even eating 10 Big Macs wouldn't do that to a normal person over such a short time. I figure it makes for a good show, and the parents get paid. But she does have something wrong surely.

I would guess PWS, Prader Willie Syndrome.

Very, very sad condition 🙁

Basically the part of the brain that says "I'm full" isn't formed, so the person feels hungry 100% of the time. No way to fix it, and kills most kids early on in life.

I seriously doubt that in this case it is any fault of the parents. This is rare for a reason, perhaps this kid has no metabolism or can't burn off fat like the rest of us can. You guys act like the parents just kept feeding and kept feeding this kid sh!t until it couldn't walk.

Umm at what point should you stop feeding her or possibly change her diet???

Parents should be jailed for child abuse and the kid needs to be put into a foster home with weekly check-ups from a dietician.

Anyway, it's not the parents' fault. We all know this kid just "likes to eat", and I bet they probably "don't even feed it that much" 😛

Actually she's quantatively worse than most kids, but not qualitively so: I was at lunch today with a 2.5 year old (ok, and his parents), and his lunch was croutons dipped in ranch dressing. A neighbour of ours gives her kid oatmeal cookies with creme between them (get them at walmart)...but these are healthy "because of the oatmeal". People are just dumb.

well, it can actually be both parts. If they were good parents, and was able to control their children to eat well, then 230 pounds would not have happened. Most babies that are overweight, not to that extent, but I've seen pretty big ones, their parents didn't know how to stop them from crying except feeding them. Also, some weird parents this its sooo cute that their kid eats so much.

sorry, i didn't read the whole thread, someone already said what i said about bad parenting.

Does anyone remember a case where a mother had 2 children and she fed them to stop them from crying, government took her kids away from her, and made her go seek help. When she got them back, again those kids gained a lot of weight. I don't remember the exact conclusion, so i won't say it, but damn!
 
Jesus. I was very fat when I weighed 230 in high school, and I was 6'3"! This is really disgusting, and this girl should be taken from her parents IMO.
 
Whhaaa, this girl is almost 50 lbs heavier than I am. What a sad thing to see her life turns out that way.
 
sh!t, i'm 10 years older than her and I weight 90 lbs less (and even i consider myself to be overweight!)
