I'm not the only one who has pointed out the ridiculousness of many of your comments on these subjects.

You are barely smarter than squirrel when it comes to those particular topics. Barely. That doesn't say much. Seriously, give it a rest.

And you think comparing your epenis online gives you power over me??

LOL

The only one with visions of grandeur is you suffering from a constant "Superiority Complex".

Seriously why is it no one thinks more of themselves here except you.. yes you in particular. You sound more and more like someone's mind.. and I remember having this same argument with him again and again.. how he always thought he was more smart than everyone else here because he was a tax accountant.

You though YIMBY'ism had to do with immigration policies. I rest my case.

Lets listen to a real election.. what do Americans think about retail crime..

View attachment 113707

You and Newsom don't like it.. I wonder why..

Oh and the obligatory vid:

The picture of that poll doesn't show that there is some widespread small crime spree devastating small businesses. It just means people want to make sure that thieves get their just deserts.

In a previous post in this thread, it was pointed out just how little retail shrinkage affects a business's bottom line. But that doesn't fit your narrative that petty thefts is devastating small businesses.

Now, that's not to say that some small businesses in specific locations are dis-proportionally affected by theft. Usually these are businesses in low income or depressed areas. But that's why I said in a couple of posts already in this thread that we need to solve the social and economical issues if we want to permanently reduce crime. The solution isn't just to throw more people in jail. It's to prevent people from needing to be thrown in jail in the first place.

Times have changed.. it does now!

Brooklyn has more legal immigrants than Manhattan.. yet do you know how much opposition there was to migrant shelters there?

Don't forget about queens either.

NIMBY's and YIMBY's are no longer just homing projects for the homeless..

The poll photo also discusses drug treatment for those who need it. I likely would've voted yes to try and fund something other than jail for people struggling with drug use. But not part of Indus thought process.

Sounds like you are arguing with the wrong country.

You really should take these issues up with your Canadian government.

Stop worrying about US policy IT DOES NOT AFFECT YOU.
Get of the grid and hide.

You mean, except for those tariffs which are going to harm the Canadian economy. So there it is, there is actually one way it may affect him and isn't going to be good.

I voted no on that prop, but 68% Yes suggests the electorate had "concerns" about retail theft (and drugs) and wanted more stick than carrot.* The now-shitty L.A. Times reported that the electorate lurched to the right on state-wide propositions. The proposition to raise the minimum wage with annual adjustments for inflation also failed.

* You're right the actual text is nuanced, but voters are too dumb for that. I think they agreed with all the BS ads about SF being in a doom loop and figured this was a way to fix things.

It's hilarious that @MrSquished was called out for not knocking on doors because he's told us for months he did EXACTLY that.

I said knock on doors as a CANDIDATE for congress.

Maybe get some glasses or new contacts.
This is what you wrote:

No.. you have to actually go out door to door and give a better plan to change things unlike your current congressman.. like AOC did.

You didn't say shit about @MrSquished running for Congress. This is the dumbest possible retort because most of us are not politicians; why would I run for national office just because we all need better government?

Not that any of us care what you said or say. There are two dumb fucks in this thread vying for supremacy; one is the OP and the other lives in Timmins ON. It's a pretty fair competition on which one is dumber, but I'll let you two duke it out.

Please put me on ignore too. :p

An analogy would be great here..

Why try and fix my car because I'm not a mechanic? Is that the analogy you're using? Well that just allows mechanics to lie about work done and overcharge.. much like politicians do!

See that's why you lose so much politically to a fake movement politicians like MAGA.

You piss people off so much with your superiority complex where you think you're smarter than them.. they're willing to put up with hardcore MAGA trumpers in order to say FUCK YOU!

Maybe tone down the hate a bit towards people that you want to vote the same way as you.

I'll take dumb analogies for $200, Alex.

And you heard it here, folks. Major elections are won and lost because people were being smug on ATPN. Does Future plc know it could sell off AT Forums to Leon for billions?

Man you and squishy just can't resist trying to show off your ultra high IQ superiority complex stupidy can you. Must show the world how smart and powerful I am over the dumbasses on the interweb! Pathetic!

No wonder you're miserable and bitter folks!

And you make fun and laugh at Felix and he's actually respectful of people. I don't remember the last time he was flailing or poking fun at others intelligence either.

There you have it folks.. the bullies.. you have to fight them off unless you want this place to be a royal shithole!

There are a ton of your posts on this subject I have simply not responded to because I don't feel like dunking on you, or in your mind, showing off lol If that's all I cared about I would have been responding because it's just been a litany of insanity by you on these few particular subjects.

You are simply wrong about core fundamentals on these subjects and a bunch of people have tried to explain it to you, but you don't care. This is not about me or manly or any single person. Maybe just take a breath and step back and read what tons of people have been telling you. This is not personal, and you just happen to be misinformed on this discussion, and you are driven by base instincts that are triggered by pushing standard right wing agitprop. It happens. So figure it out if you like. Nobody thinks this is a competition.

Actually I do care.

The thing is if your bar graphs can't convince me.. a liberal who votes blue.. how do you think you can convince Indys?

I don't have a vendetta against you or a desire to prove you wrong.. I have a desire to see the left win!

But instead we keep shooting ourselves in the foot aiming for high ideals in showing the population they're wrong vs giving them what the population wants.

That's my point.. you have to give them what they want to get their vote or they feel screwed and won't show up to the ballot box. Can you understand my viewpoint now?

Stop screaming that you're anti-MAGA and then repeating MAGA talking points that dumb voters fell for.* We all know that Red Squirrel is deep in the fucking rabbit hole, and is never getting out. All we're telling you is to be better. Sometimes it's jovial and I'll admit you take a lot of stuff fairly well. Like @MrSquished said, it's nothing personal. This is a discussion forum, not Charlottesville.

And it reeks of hypocrisy to see your sig and all the times you've called others dumb.

* We know this is why the election was lost. But repeating MAGA propaganda as if it were truth is not a logical strategy. Not in any way, shape or form. We certainly need to understand the electorate better to begin to make a comeback in 2026. Scapegoating migrants is not the way, and legal immigrants shouldn't be pulling up the ladder on future Americans.

If voters want to deport 15M residents here "illegally," we just give them what they want? Use your brain.

Except he is supposedly off grid.

I don't deny tariffs will hurt us all. But I thought he had said he was self sufficient previously. except for the internet activity that is.

I will still be surprised if here in the US that the majority can seat a Speaker to certify the election results by the deadline. They are down to a 1 seat majority now.

If they want to saw off Floriduh, Texas, the deep south and make it Trumpistan.. I suggest letting them go.

It’s clear the intention is not to secede, or else it would’ve happened. No, the pillaging of the middle class isn’t over yet. What will be left is a broken nation in crisis and potentially the end of the nation as we know it. What won’t happen is a courteous disbandment of the union, that’s just your hopes and dreams ….aka feelings.

You suggested letting them go, not Dem led states leaving. I don’t think in either case our lives will be immediately better.

The demographics across the nation are more mixed than we choose to believe. There’s many people that want strong smart government that works for everyone in red states and blue states, and many people that don’t agree as well. Allowing the oligarchs to run a successful grift thru trickle down has been detrimental to all even if some choose not to believe it

Edit: grammar

I dunno if it's complete bullshit but maybe it could be exaggerated amounts of bs.

Reason being you talk to walgreens employees and they confirm there's a retail theft problem. I've seen Wallgreens stores in NYC which are completely empty apart from the pharmacies. It's even rolled over into Rite Aid.. completely empty shelves but the stores are open.

And who do you believe at the end of the day.. some one working for $15 an hour in walgreens and deals with this or the twitter feed.

I have yet to see an empty store besides Rite Aid who went through chapter 11 and is probably gonna get their real estate holdings parted out any day now. Their situation is not caused by theft.

It would be interesting to see pictures of these stores empty except for the pharmacy.
