I don't mind a little extra meat on my woman... in fact I prefer it... but to all you "250+ and proud" women out there: if you have to announce to everyone how hot you are, then you probably aren't.

Just once, I'd like to have a decent sized girlfriend...
Move back to Nigeria and you'll find one :awe:

Seems pretty standard to not talk to coworkers. 99% of people are retards, so saying "hello" can be taken as sexual harassment.

Dude, just never talk about weight with women.

My best friend (not anymore) blew up at me because I told her I was proud of her that she was addressing her weight issue. She'd been alluding to the fact that she was starting a diet and exercise regime. I acknowledged her problem, and boom, one year friendship, practically glued at the hip, dead. Well, we got "back together" for a month, but she never forgave me and melted down over the next few weeks.

Consider replacing "Look you fatass bitch" with simply "Look fattie". I think it actually sounds more derogatory, but good rant nontheless, especially since it's about fat people.

Nice. Ignorantly insulting an entire table of people to their faces, then you getting bent out of shape when one responds defensively. Your OP should have ended where I ended it, and with an oops emoticon.

I'm sorry your wife has ballooned into a fat tub of lard. Karma's a bitch, as you are beginning to find out.

Like I said, I made the mistake of talking as I would with the 2 friends who were at the table. They both happen to be overweight, but neither of them took what I said personally. They both sided with me on the entire thing telling her that she is wrong and I wasn't saying anything like "eww 5'2 and 220 lbs is so disgusting!"

Please show me a picture of a 5'2" woman weighing 240lbs. That's fucking insanely huge.

I think the OP's brains have leaked down the tubes of the intarwebs. You NEVER talk to your co-workers about sex, politics or, money.

When I sense danger I fall back on non-committal grunts.

You mistake was removing the filter...when your brain thought "my ex was such a fat bitch didn't even want to have sex with her for 7 months!" several failsafes should have tripped preventing that thought from being verbalized. First, there was sex. Don't talk about sex at work for the same reason you don't head butt land mines. Second, there was some one (particularly a woman) you thought was fat. All women are fat or at least think they are fat. Therefore when you say any woman is fat you are calling all women fat.

The correct response in this situation was "hrrmmph" with a half nod...no full nod, that could be construed as an affirmative.

Last 2 jobs I had I was WAAAYYYY too god damn busy to chat. Even in the cafeteria. By the time I got my food I had about 10 minutes to scarf it down, go use the bathroom and be back at my bench.

I always feel a little irritated when I watch workplace TV shows or hear people complain about how they have too much free time at work and they have to engage in all these weird relationships.
How the heck does anything get done when people just stand around bullshitting all day?

The work is there, but due to management decisions about how the work here should be done we are locked into a compartmentalized system of "here is your silo of work, don't go outside it." We don't have the freedom to be as proactive about it.

Not to mention, we don't get anything for going above and beyond the minimum requirements of the job. Management is locked down and low turnover, senior levels of my position are locked down with low turnover as well. There are no incentives, outside of any personal ones you may have, to go and do anything other than the minimum required.

Any girl a foot shorter than me and weighs more than me I'm not going to touch with a 10ft pole. So I can empathize with the OP. Too bad there are way too many around here where I live like that if not the vast majority in this cesspool.

Now I've been with taller women who weight more than me. But when they are really that much taller it is expected :)

I'm not talking about your job in particular, I was just generalizing.
It seems to me that way too many jobs have loads of free time. In my community I cant even fathom what thats like. Even within my zone of influence theres always way too much work and not nearly enough time. At Tektronix I slaved away every minute unless I forced myself to go on break. My mom too. She's a paralegal at a big DC lawfirm and she's constantly busy. Theres no chatting around the watercooler or even at peoples desks. You grab your yogurt and eat while typing. No real breaks aside from bathroom trips. And theres no women hanging out in there chatting either.

I shoulda gone into advertising instead of electronics. On TV shows those guys are always standing around yakking.

Why are we expected to be so solicitous of fatties? Make them all feel bad about themselves. Maybe it'll drive them to change, but it can't really hurt.
