This is why I don't talk to coworkers

At lunch today with some friends and some people that are coworkers. We are talking about people not having sex when in a relationship for long periods of time, and I bring up not doing it for ~7 months by my own choice. When asked why, I answer honestly that it was because she went from 115 lbs to ~220 lbs in under a year and was 5 ft 2. Now, this group all of them are overweight (which is where I went wrong in talking about stuff), but the one girl who is also 5'2 and about ~240 lbs apprently took major offense to it. She made comments about her being hot shit, which I had to try not to outright laugh in her face, and goes "be careful, I'm 5'2 as well."

Look you fatass bitch. You are fat. You think you're hot, that's great. If your husband agrees, then even better. But to me, and I'd wager many other people, you aren't. Get over yourself. I wasn't attacking overweight people (which I'm sure you thought I was since I'm 6'2 and 175 lbs, so I must hate fatties right?), I was simply answering the question that was asked about why I did not have sex for ~7 months with my ex. Oh, and btw your slimfast shake diet won't work or you'll just go right back to eating like a fucking heffer cow once you lose 10 lbs.

Yeah sounds like you're attacking overweight people and fatties in your post there. Who are you trying to kid?

Not that I give a shit, but if you say you aren't but then do it blatantly....?

About the only thing that won't offend someone is talking about the weather. I have to talk about the weather with people every day.

I wouldn't hit it at 5'2 and 220lb either, you're not at fault OP.

Pretty much; I have to deal with co-workers trying to draw me into political debates at work on a constant basis, and I always try to just back out of the conversation without getting into it.

Sadly, out here, that's not even always true...its pretty well known that I don't like the Seattle area, and if I dare make mention of the fact that its raining and I'm not pleased with that, people get defensive about it.

After suffering a diet of shoe leather over the course of many years, I have (imperfectly) developed a form of spider~sense for loaded questions. I usually ignore the first time it's asked. The second time, I'll tell them "you don't want to know".

If they ask again, that's their own stupidity.

Well... the weather is the closest thing there is to "take no offense" conversation out there. And it's still not perfect! :p

OP doesn't have the ability to judge an audience, very important skill IMO.

5'2" and over 200 is... D:

I guess since guys will seduce and bang almost anything that moves, it makes them think they're hot stuff.

If I don't have a goddamn cheesesteak and some Yards to wash it down soon, I might lose it....

Seriously though, yes, I hate Seattle, sooner or later I'll be moving out of this hippy-infested rainforest...
