Funny as hell, but the only problem I have is were they 100% sure that this dude was cheating? They had better been sure, cause if the dude wasn't cheating then what they did was wrong. And personally if it was me and they destroyed my comp. well let's just say that they would all be kissing my front bumper!! 😉

And anyway's didn't these guys see what happens when you pick on people? Did they see what happened at Columbine? You mess with the wrong dude and you could have your brains splattered all over the sidewalk, carpet, wall, etc......

They should have just thrown the guy out. Just my opinion!

🙂

dude wtf is wrong with those rednecks? Cmon so he was cheating, ITS A VIDEOGAME CALM THE F DOWN. You dont destroy his computer and embarass him like that, that's just wrong.

First of all that was so staged, second if they really did that they would get sued so quick, since there were about 200 witness's there, and that guy could file a lawsuit for damage of property and assault.

Pretty funny though, but totally staged.

I grew up in the middle of the sticks. People that were asses usually got what was coming to them, i.e. beat up, car wrecked, etc..

I now live in NYC. People that are asses here just get away with it, no one cares. IMO, people are on much better behavior when the're forced to be responcible for there actions.

Good for them. If you cheat in school you get in trouble and you should. If you cheat at a computer game you should have the same treatment. It's called society... it's kept together by social laws of acceptable behavior. Cheat at your single player games all you want but as soon as you reach multi., stop. From my perspective that SOB was lucky to not get the crap kicked out of him. Chucking his computer was mild.

I think it was real footage. Notice the weird things that occur. Camera pans really fast, someone spends time to disconnect the computer, the guy runs back for his case cover??? All a bit too odd to be staged if you ask me.

Only a lamer would think that cheap skit was real!
Every bit was staged, did anyone realize that they destroyed an ancient baby-AT system? No one would actually care about a case cover; that just makes it look even more fake. It wasn't even intended to be real! Why do you think they came up with the (lame and uninspired) MasterCard commercial parody? Those guys are poor actors, I'd hate to leave you people alone watching info-mercials! You will believe anything...
The next lamer who adds "looked pretty real to me" to this thread deserves to get flamed.

haha. nice.

why would people cheat during a lan party?
cheating by itself is stupid.
but this guy took that to a next level.

I don't know if it is fake or not, but it does seem conspicous that

A: there just happened to be a guy filming the whole thing and knew exactly where to go
B: The was no time needed to disconnect cables!?
C: The "cheater" didn't say a single thing, not even to his own defense
D: There was absolutely no mediation i.e. 'you are/were cheating' 'no I'm not' ...

Funny event, but entirely unreal

it was funny, but it was so obvious that it was fake. i mean look at the guy who's system was destroyed in the end, why in the world would you be smiling?

It was fake plus thats kinda old saw it like a month ago.

no way would they be able to do that legally. think about what would happen if someone did that. well they would get sued big time. one thing to kick the guy out and ban him from ever playing in a tourney again but you can't destroy someones property sorry to say.

Of course it was fake for gawds sakes. It's still funny, jeeez.....

Just imagine the impact that it had at the event though, I'm sure that after this no one would dare even try to cheat.... and that's why they did this.

If you've ever been to a big lanparty, I can easily see someone getting the crap kicked out of them for cheating then thrown out since prize money is often offered.
