How am I trying to be "sophisticated" here?

I'm just mocking your use of a stupid generalization. If that is sophisticated, then I guess you are a pretty simple person...

Sad.

Judging from your comeback tactics, you've got to be young. It's funny to me because teenagers/college students think they are being open-minded and original, yet anyone who is older can see that they're thinking inside the same box as everyone else their age. They're very predictable.

You're a kid.

What are you talking about? I think you're taking this a bit far buddy.

Nice try to divert the topic away from the original point - that you made a generalization. I don't know why you are getting so worked up over it though.
ok guys.

either take it to PMs or knock it off.

Wow, that dude demonstrated less intelligence than a kitten by continuing to pull on the can. I was immediately reminded of the typical cop's response to a situation. Putting the can down would have made the kitten safely release its grip to eat; then they could have easily been seperated so as to dispense the contents. But no, instead he escalated it into a tugging match at danger to the kitten. Fail.

how would it have hurt the cat? if the cat was in pain, it would have let go.

I agree.

my cat loved playing tug-of-war like that.

They are certainly not unsanitary, in fact, they are MUCH cleaner than dogs.
I've never known of a cat that didn't throw up on things.
And if I'd get a cat in my apartment, he'd have pretty well no choice but to throw up on a carpet - every single room except the bathroom is fully carpeted.

Yes, "real" cats bury their crap, but stuff will get stuck sometimes, usually the result of swallowed hair. Maybe you just haven't caught a cat wiping its butt across a rug yet. :)
Every cat I've had (over the years, with the ones my parents had when I was born), which would be a total of....6 cats, have all barfed on various things, and they do occassionally get things stuck when using the litterbox.
Fortunately, the one cat we've still got, and she's 15 now, is kind enough to give an audible 10-15 second warning when she's about to throw up. It's a distinct "meow-wow" sound.

Cats are dirty animals and cat owners are disgusting.

As another poster pointed out, cats walk in the same litterboxes they take shits in, getting urine and feces on their feet. Then their owners let them walk on the kitchen table.
Our cats were never permitted on tables or countertops.
Besides, all animals are unsanitary to a degree. That's what immune systems are for.

But hey, sanitary or not, they're still cute. I'd like to be able to pet-sit friendly cats, but I'm not much for owning one. Maybe when I have time to toilet-train it, I'll think about it again.:)

One VERY sleepy kitten :D
And another

The edge of the can could be sharp and suddenly cause a cut, especially when moved. Or it could just damage a tooth anyway. Instead of letting the kitten (which does not know any better) have some food so as to end the potential hazard, the hu-man kept tugging. Worse, after getting the fork, instead of using it to dispense some food as an alternate way to end the tugging match he actually began to use it against the kitten. Dolt.

he actually didnt do much with the fork if anything at all, also he didnt seem to be pulling hard, my cat used to hold onto Tuna cans like that and i coudl pick him off the ground and he wouldent let go, and modern cans really arnt that sharp at all

This is totally unrelated to anything but can somebody tell me why the fuck pet stores charge 500 bucks for a bengal kitten?

If it's a pure bred, then they will easily sell for a lot of money.

That's the question he just asked- why?

Because enough people are willing to pay that price?

same reason pure bred dogs cost thousads

idiots pay that much for them
Well in that case would anybody like 4 pure bred husky puppies for $50?
A lady at my office doesnt want them and knows they might not make it out of the humane society before they get put to sleep. They're very good looking dogs. She just cant take care of them. She would give them away but last time she gave animals away the person abandoned them. She wants 50 bucks to know the person is serious.
I should have sent myself the pic from work. Will try to do that tonight (along with contact info if anybody wants it).
You guys will love them. They are available for pickup in Eugene, Oregon.

Shouldn't you be outside padding the sidewalks and putting seat belts on the teeter-totter?
