13-year-old daughters don't need iphones, or even phones with cameras.

Also, there's this little thing called "parenting"...it involves instilling a certain amount of responsibility and common sense and morality within your children.

Any parent whose daughter thought it was a good idea to get topless on a webcam in front of a complete stranger is a failure as a parent.

Hate to break it to you but even the best teenagers are sending nude shots today, just like most single adults doing it....to complete strangers.

Stupid, yes. Deserving of being bullied to suicide...no. Having been bullied in school, the only response that ever helped me was simply fighting back. The response I got from the principal in middle school was "Little ____ deserved what you did, but you're better than that." OK, if he deserved it how about you take some action? Or in high school when I got so angry at being taunted, I finally just tackled a kid. He didn't have the guts to "tell" on me.

Agreed, Parenting could prevent this, but then again science has shown when teenagers make decisions they are faulty and do not weigh the consequences like an adult.

I've consistently been against most of the age of consent laws in the US. I think they're ridiculous and draconian.

That said, my comments are about getting naked in front of STRANGERS on a WEBCAM over the INTERNET. Not about having sex with one's boyfriend/girlfriend.

There's a huge difference, and if you don't understand or wont accept it, I pray to God you never have children or yours are likely to end up just like this girl.

When kids usually have sex (whether it's kissing or full out intercourse), that person is usually a stranger at that point. If you are thinking your kids will go though months of courtship prior to getting into a bed and taking the time to learn each and every aspect of that partner's life; you are deeply deluded.

The webcam has replaced our 'face to face' need of the past for many. Hooking up online to then meet in real life is how many people 'date' today. They go right from the keyboard to condoms.

Alky is not trolling, I agree with his statements. Also we do not know she never sought out help, we know there were times she wanted to move on. Her parents did seek her help because she was on medication. I am assuming that was due to her parents.
