I've also wondered if I could just crap in a box and put it on display.
Hell if they have a cricifix on display in a vat of piss, or a bottle filled full of the artist's blood, they should take my Poop in a box 05.

Allow me to elaborate -
Where would we be today if artists, musicians, dancers, actors just did the same stuff as before? Where would we be without people who let go of the archaic figure drawings and let their own person take over? Where would we be without some of the avant garde actor movements in history? We'd still be scared of the edge of a flat earth, and we'd probably be way behind on acting as we laugh at Leave It To Beaver jokes.
Whether you like the work or not, it is changing the world around you.
Edit: Let me just say that I don't find this guy's work at all amusing, or even interesting, but I do respect what it is and what he is doing.

Who are you to decide that his work is done for anyone besides himself? You assume that all modern artists are doing work because they are in it to win some quick cash, and that is incredibly ignorant. I agree that many 'artists' out there are doing this at the moment, but there is no need to generalize about something like this - especially when you are in no place to do so.Originally posted by: QuitBanningMe

Perpetrating a fad based fruad for class distinction? I wouldn't call it a fraud if the people who were drinking what he is selling could tell the difference between a few kindergartners splashing some paint and a modern art "masterpiece".

Point 1) Not all artwork is done for you or the public.
Point 2) Not all artwork needs to look 'good' to be 'good'.
Point 3) Shh.
