This is a prime example of why I hate cats

uh...dog's can be house trained you know? I can just let mine out the back, and they dump/piss there. No litter box to clean out.

Cats are incredibly independent animals. I can leave a massive bowl of food, a large container of water rigged to continuously fill a bowl, and go on vacation without worrying about whether the cat will be alive when I get back. Show me a pet which you can do the same with.I don't know why he had it on a leash, or why he was holding it like that. Not a surprising reaction. They keep out mice, rats, and other vermin so they're good in my book.

Fish? heh..I agree they are easier to keep, but that doesn't make them better.

Do fish keep out rats, mice, and squirrels from your house? Maybe some pirahnas, yes...

Oh, didn't read that part. Well..I don't have a rat problem..and I don't know of many cats that can truly keep away a full grown squirrel. Ive seen a dog do a good job of that though.

A friend of mine had an inside/outside cat which came and went as it pleased. It had an attachment to the daughter of the family and would frequently leave 'gifts' at her doorstep. One day she got out of bed in the middle of the night, came back, and screamed. A five-pound cat had laid something in the neighborhood of an eight-pound rabbit right on top of her pillow.

Actually no. If I'm not around to take her out, she uses a little box.

LOL...I love my cats dearly, but they've been known to do some incredibly dumb stuff on occasion. My wife and I look at them as the equivalent of 2-year old children: Incredibly curious creatures that want to taste, touch and smell everything they can reach, while constantly finding new ways to get in trouble. :D

How old are yours? Once you get them neutered, that activity ceases pretty quick. Although I agree, they can still go bonkers sometimes. It's like they see ghosts or something and just freak right out for no reason. Hilarious, and down right loveable. :)

My cat is great at wooing in other cats in the neighborhood to have a party on my patio. I never realized how many cats lived in my condo complex until I got the cat.

Just to clarify something though. Even though I hate cats that still does not justify ever hurting an animal, unless of course it attacks you.

They're 8, 5 and 2 years old, respectively. Hours of entertainment has been derived from these little guys. Fun for the whole family, I tell ya. :D

So if a dog did the same thing, you'd call it stupid?

Eh, you can't put a cat on a leash. They are just like people as far as that goes. They want their freedom.

Probably, because everyone knows cats are smarter than dogs. :p

Well, first of all, dogs are so clumsy they'd actually do damage to your home. Knocking things over and whatnot. Secondly, any large dog I've ever known hasn't been the most "active" animal, so it'd probably be sleeping in the corner.

I'm sorry, I've just been exposed to so many poorly trained(or untrainable?) large dogs(labs and shepherds mainly, I've even owned a GS), that I've grown to detest the entire dog family. The small yippy ones, the big rank lumbering ones, they're all the same in my eyes. I understand how people can love them, pets are easy to love once you get used to their quirks, but dogs will never be for me.

If you watch closely he saw the leash and tried to attack it, sort of like when you see them play with yarn or whatever. Then it turned into him not liking being on the leash.

I love my crazy, worthless cat. My dog is OK, but I don't let her in the house and let her sleep on my bed. She's ok for a sh!t-eating animal, but my cat is the best.

This little guy is neutered and he is the single most annoying cat on the planet. We love him to death but he has the curiosity of 10 cats and never misses an opportunity to cause mayhem.

Wow, such nice eyes on that guy!
Well, maybe not all are affected by neutering. :)
Here's ours, don't know what it's gonna be like when he dies. :(

indeed..I also do not like cats much, but not because of this video. It is just a personal preference...

I wonder though, if there is any correlation between the number of cat lovers and Kerry lovers here.

Are you implying that John Kerry will climb up my leg and bite my crotch if I vote for him?

I have a dog that will lick herself constantly. Drives me nuts sometimes...Other than that she doesn't do much other than eat, sleep, poop, beg for food and beg to be taken for a walk.

Dogs must be the dumbest animal on the planet.
