Yes, which is saying something given the bitterness of the fight over the 2000 results.
Neither candidate is all that great (I'd have preferred Sanders), but Trump seems to be dragging everything down. He has all the maturity and political knowledge of a 13-year-old, and gives Clinton an easier time than she would have otherwise. About all she has to do is show that she's a functional human being who offers basic compassion to other people and accepts fundamentals like logic and science.
I have two questions. First, will the Republicans learn their lesson, or will their 2020 nominee once again be the one who shouts the loudest and stirs up the most irrational fears? And will the Democrats recognize that supporters want real change, not just a custodian who won't blow things up?
GOP.Who set the tone?

"We weren't conservative enough."On Wednesday, the only words of advise that we all must give republicans...
That is, if they ever hope to survive....

Once Democrats regain control of the legislative branch we need to start repealing the death penalty and eliminate it from our justice system. The extremism that you speak of should not be condoned by the church yet they seem to want the power to take peoples lives which Jesus spoke out against. The other thing that bothers me is the separation of church and state. I keep seeing churches as designated polling places yet no matter how well intentioned that might seem it violates that principle. No part of state should be at church and church has no business in state or business. Church needs to get out of health care and/or Congress needs to pass laws forcing them to provide the same services as a normal hospital would including abortions when the mothers life is endangered. Religions influence needs to be pared back to preaching the gospel period! What is WORSE is the extremist far right loonies that have taken over the republican party.
this really is the best election.
2008: palin idiocy
2012: 'blah blah 47 percent something' zzzzzz
2016: 'grab her by the pussy'
if the national GOP hasn't unfucked itself by 2020 i look forward to whatever insane candidate they put up
GOP.
Democratic primary was very civil. GOP primary was... well... we all saw what it was.
I voted no only because in this election the Supreme Court hasn't decided who our next president is going to be.....yet.
