Not same guy. Why and how can they allow hundreds of wooden crosses to be set up in a road right of way where people were not killed, nor even live there.
This in itself seems a danger, not to mention mobs of protesters in your front yard.
Enough is enough, bring them all down to lockup.

I say leave them there...they really help their cause, much like NARL and the Robertson ads. These kind of action marginalize their cause and render these clowns (and their message) irrelevant and immaterial. We have seen how effective these demonstration are during the '04 election..."Vote or Die...No war for oil...Bush lied, people died..." What a joke. I support her sitting their making an ass out of herself and the democratic strategists that are providing her with political advice.

I mainly dis-agree with the rights of a few landowners which are being forgotten. If this was in your front yard, for over a week, how would you act? That is my line of thinking, GO HOME, JESUS LOVES YOU, BUT I DON'T!!!!

Marginalize her cause? Hmm, seems like she has gotten more press attention and protestors rallying behind her now than she did in the beginning. The message would only like to become irrelevent by means of Republicans declaring it so. However, it's not becoming irrelevent as shown by the dip in the polls for support of the war.

I didn't see many protestors during the 04 election so I have no idea where you get that from. Fact was that John Kerry was a weak candidate that was able to be portrayed as a flip flopper by the Republican attack ads concerning his Vietnam records and Congressional voting history.

It's only a danger to the far right, who can't stand people bashing their president. Have you seen where Bush lives? It's not exactly a densely populated area, and the police are monitoring so that the protestors follow the laws regarding property. Therefore, setting up crosses was never a problem. Some people just can't stand free speech.

Poor residents, getting blocked for a whole month. Gee, I wonder if they could ever hack it in a city where traffic jams happen everyday. I live in a state capital by the way and protests are not uncommon, and guess what, people deal with it and some have even been successful. Ain't democracy grand?

Yes, people move to the country to for numbers of reasons, one is to get away from the Rat Race, another is to fire shotguns off in their own yards under protection of the constitution of the United States, and others are because they don't fit in... Whatever the reason, Does not give others the right to invade on their property that was legally purchased.

It's not a property issue. If it was, they would have been arrested already. They are on a road, not somebody's front porch.

Can I in your neighborhood have a much smaller, say 15 people LoveFest in your front yard and roadway for one week, set up a couple of hundered flowers and peace signs, and make demands from the community and nation to cater to our cause.

As long as you're not on my property and well within the law, then you are protected by free speech. The police can handle such disruptions relating to traffic flow. I know, I've seen police handle such situations during protests. The protest doesn't stop and people can drive in and out. If the people are being blocked, then police are not managing the traffic very well.

Bush Neighbors to seek court order

Some residents of the corn and cattle town of Crawford, Texas, are expressing resentment as hundreds of anti-war protesters descend upon President George W. Bush's adopted hometown.

After nine days of watching as one woman's protest has grown into a national event, dozens of the farmers and ranchers neighboring Bush's 1,600-acre Prairie Chapel Ranch plan to petition a county court in nearby Waco, according to one, Pete Martinka. They want to prevent anyone from parking or stopping within two miles of the makeshift campsite erected by Cindy Sheehan, the Vacaville, Calif., woman whose son, Casey, was killed in the war in Iraq.

Guess she'll be out of there soon.

At 8:00 PM till 6:00AM do they have to leave and go?
And are they really protected on zoned residential property? It would seem a little more appropriate on the White House Lawn, not my lawn, or portion thereof the road right of way.

Some people....the ones who have to drive through the congestion everyday. I'll bet the resturants and hotels don't want them leaving, LOL!

I think if they were illegally camped someplace they would be gone or in jail already. They're just PO'ed about the traffic, but it's a free country and a public road. They can ask for what they want....just like Cindy. That doesn't mean they will get it.

Sheehan, National Media and Other Protestors > A few locals. Time the petition goes through court, August will be over and Bush will be back in Washington and no more protestors.

Thanks for quantifying the values you assign to people and for placing the "national media" ahead of "a few local" property owners. Had these of been Bush supporters outside your house, I bet you would whistle a different tune....just ask the local DC residents who welcome the WTO and other protests outside their houses in Dupont Circle, then call the police and try to get injunctions against Protest Warriors and other groups who hold contrary views...

Sheehan > other protestors > national media > poor homeless people in McPherson Square, DC > a few locals > horses > cows > jackass > ysperalda.

Could some do some hypothesis testing on this one and see if it holds?

Real maturity with the insults, am I supposed to be offended? I could careless whether you think I'm a jackass, fvcking clown.

On the topic, since the national media have become involved, it's become a national news story. The stakes have been raised. For every local that tries to get them removed, another protestor in support will be there. And I have no idea what question you are asking with, "Could some do some hypothesis testing on this one and see if it holds?". :p

Hahaha, I would something like that too. LOL
Who likes ppl parking on their front yard? I don't. And having a bunch of ppl just sitting there 20 away yards from my property day n night does not make me feel safe. Too bad liberals are trying to ban guns and self-protection. :)

Oh I see, a new twist has been added. Now, the protesters are terrorist/criminals and the the broke-down-redneck-neighbor is protecting his family. Too bad the guy doesn't live in Florida with Jeb, then he could simply say he was scared and then he could shoot and kill all the protesters with no legal ramifications.

[sarcasm]Oh, you poor liberal, you're probably scared to live in the world where not only the bad guys have guns. And where ppl can do something about their own protection. I feel sorry for you.[/sarcasm]

[seriously]I didn't say they did something bad (crime). I just said that I don't like strangers parking on my front yard and walking around when I am asleep.[/seriously]

He would not be able to do that in a free state like Florida.
