When people grow up with guilt and contridictions from what I have seen it makes for a pretty ugly family situation behind closed doors. (there are ALWAYS exceptions to the rule but I have not seen one yet when you really get close to someone)

One of the first thing I look for when I start a realationship with someone is to listen for signs if they had a overbearing family who tried to control them.(religious is a big red alarm) I am sick of the baggage accompanied with such a person -it does real harm to their soul as a individual IMO and if you ever had kids with them you'd have to worry about them passing on the disfunction to another helpless generation.

it is also possible that you attract a certain type of person to get involved in your life, who outwardly exhibit subtle signs of abuse...which may attract you as well.
i seem to remember you being young, so i could be mistaken. but hell, when i was in high school everyone i knew met your criteria. in college and beyond, not so much.

sure. but i still know a lot of people i knew in high school and i think people just get over themselves and dont consider their life as much a misery as they did in high school.

Two many centerists have problems with people who spout propaganda and refuse actual looks at the facts that lead up to circumstances.

Blinded by ideology and in-experience, they make it difficult for a decent discussion to occur without name calling and falme baiting.

Once those things start happening, it is better to just leave the discussion. Nothing will get discussed after that point.

North America, South America, sub-saharan Africa has a 55/45 Christian/Muslim ratio. China has a growing Christian population, more so than their muslims in the far-west region.

Muslim population is 1 billion in the world today. That is less than the Catholic population alone. Add to that the other Christian faiths and you have domination for the foreseeable (sic?) future.

One problem with Islam is that it has two leaders. An example of this can be seen in Al Qaeda. Just as in Al Qaeda, the real Islamic leaders are Egyptian, whereas the spiritual leaders are Saudi. In Al Qaeda, the real leader is the Egyptian doctor Zarqawi, not bin Laden. Even on the planes, the four Egyptians lead the way while the 15 Saudis followed orders.

Over time, as Egypt becomes more democratic, perhaps Islam will evolve to something more acceptable.

However, if you want to add Catholics and Christians up and say they are all Christians then they will surpass Muslims. In many books Catholics are classified as Christians.

I wouldn't call myself "King of the enlightened" or anything of the sort, but a freer thinker than most, yes. Most folks are swallowed by religious or social nonsense and are unwilling to think outside the framework they grew up with.

Nevertheless, I could still do with more education, more growth, more learning. Fortunately there's a long time ahead to keep doing that 😉

That's not 100% accurate.

Although most of the Political players remain the same the Corp and Religious Sects change with the Club:

Republican it is the current Oil and Christian Coalition (which has recruited many other sects such as Southern Catholics, Methodist etc)

Democrat it is Liberal leaning Corporations (which is a dying breed), Hollywood and smaller Religious group (only Baptist and other related sects).
