But I am in mostly greens
🙁. I only have 4 epics now and they're all level 60 epics (going from having all epics but my cape and rings).

Mostly what you're missing from better gear is much higher stamina (so you won't die as easily), and some AP (which will hurt your sustained DPS quite a bit, but has less effect on your burst DPS.) With good weapons, dagger builds aren't as gear-dependent in PvP, especially if you have decent crit%. You'll just be very fragile if you don't actually get the jump on somebody.
My stamina's not too bad actually.. overall I have about 6.5k HP (ignore CTP above, the stats haven't been updated for level 61-70 from what I can tell). Where I'm lacking is crit, but I
could make up for this if I'd switch from Mutilate to Backstab as the extra 30% to crit (on BS only) helps to make up for poor stats. What really hurt me was dropping from ~29% crit at 60 to ~19% crit at 70 and still being Mutilate. I've been
trying to find nice pieces to build things up evenly, but it seems Blizzard has yet again failed at nice itemization. Mutilate is a nice PVE build (unless you enter the "Elemental Level"... kind of like the Cow Level, but full of elementals
😛 (note that it doesn't actually exist)).

Some classes will be in much worse shape with poor gear. Warriors are particularly screwed; druids also have issues (though stacking gear and talents one way or another can help; you'll just suck at every role except one). Casters with poor gear have a lot less mana and a lot less burst damage capability (which hurts some classes/builds more than others; e.g. frost-spec mages still get all their improved snares and roots, but a fire-spec mage is much less threatening).
Eh, back when I leveled my mage, I beat a 60 rogue at 52 :Q. Rogues were pure fodder for mages before they gave us Cloak of Shadows. The only defense we had versus those glass cannons were the fact that they are made of glass (low hp and low armor). My mage used to have 2.4k HP and could easily be killed in 2 hits by a decently geared rogue. However, you had to get to him first! Fortunately, I went for two relatively easy PVP pieces (gloves and shoulders) and that gave me the +20 stam bonus bringing me up 600 hp overall, which really helped.
But as for classes.. there's still the concept of specs that do better than others. Like with shamans, resto shamans are harder to kill than enhancement or elemental. A protection warrior with decent tanking gear and a shield is a pain in the ass to kill unless you bleed kite them. Druids can be the same way with their obscenely high armor in dire bear form. Thankfully, Blizzard realized this and Druid armor factor (in DB) is being nerfed in 2.0.10.
EDIT: I'm also disappointed that Blizzard is nerfing Vampiric Embrace. VE would be
fine if they'd just fix rogue's wound poison to actually affect healing effects and not direct heals. Well, for rogues at least
😛. I still think one of the ultimate "hax" is Devouring Plague + Vampiric Embrace + Shadow Word: Pain + Mind Flay. The amount of health returned from all that isn't even funny.
EDIT 2: Someone recommend a good PVE or RP (not RP-PVP) server to transfer to. I'm leaving the server I joined up at launch, 'cause I'm tired of being on a Gank server and trying to level as we all know PVP servers aren't even about PVP anymore. Leveling my 5th character in this environment is just frustrating and is making everything worse for me, so I might as well do what's in my best interest and move all 10 of my characters to some new server. The best thing is, now I can move some to my other account so I can play two characters at once! No more asking anyone for help!! But then I have to choose a nice character dispersion.
I was thinking:
ACCT 1:
70 Rogue
60 Warrior
60 Mage
-other alts stay here-
ACCT 2:
60 Priest
47 Shaman
I like this setup so far because it allows me to combine a class that can heal with a melee class and it allows me to give water to my priest easily. Although, no matter where my mage is account-wise, he could just trade water to another character and then to my priest.
So yeah... anyone know any decent servers? Not looking for anything too special progression-wise. I really just want a decent community and not PVP
😛. Or we could go to FoW and see what PVE or RP server has a high concentration of babe-age !
