Thinking of a new car 300HP+

Requirements : manual, under 25k, 300HP+, 25mpg + on highway

those are really my only requirements.

I have been contemplating a 07+ 335xi or 135i BMW... but wanted to make sure I was not skipping something.

I have seen a few CTS-V's, which my buddy has gotten 24-25 on the highway with, while holding 400HP~, so I am hoping there might be other cars out there that can do this.

Tell me, what cars am I overlooking?

2013 Ford Mustang V6.

Manual - check
Under 25k - check
300+ HP - check
25 mpg highway - check

The only downsides are you will constantly wish you had gone for the V8 instead, and it's not the most practical car (but it's not totally impractical either). Even so, the current V6 makes more power than the previous V8.

I can get over 20mpg out of my 04 CTS-V if I really try, but having any fun will bring you around 15-16 so that may not be the best option.

I should probably say, I am not really a fan of domestics, LOL.

having fun is OK to lose the MPG, aren't you the same jlee selling a 1 series on the bimmer forums?

The sticker says 28 highway on the 335i I think. I won't get anywhere close to that though with how I drive though, haha.

I'm still at 21mpg mixed.

yeah, and that is a-ok...seeing as it's getting used, hard 🙂...I am just wanting higher MPG for the trips I make to Chicago.

I was going to recommend a low-mileage 2005 or 2006 GTO but since your not a fan of domestics -

How about:

2013 Hyundai Genesis 2.0T
or used
2011/12 3.8 R Spec

A6 is a bit big from when I test drove em.

would love an S4, but the MPG does not justify the lower end 3xx HP it only puts out.

Holden Monaro 2dr with the 6.0 and 6spd.
They did slap some silly nameplate and nose job on it when it reached the states (Some weird manufacture that started with a P) and called a GTO or something like that.

Old people got all uppity when they slapped the GTO badge on it and some people complained about it not looking like another retro mobile but they are great cars.

Others have listed great choices and those BMW's are great.
Another option is the Acura SH-AWD.

OH, haha Camero...yeah, domestic :S

you are looking for cheap HP, thats GM/Ford's wheelhouse.

CTS-V is right up the alley

STi/Evo?

are you wanting it to be stock?

the G35's are right near there HP wise, if you dont mind a bit higher rev range, but they are nothing like a LSx engined car....

BMW/Audi is going to cost in the long run due to parts costs and extra electronic jibjabs to go bad
