im thinking about it. In college perhaps i wont smoke weed?

like i dont see anything wrong with smoking weed but its gettting old. And i dont want to have to worry about getting caught in college cause u can get kicked out for that right?

I am thinking Maybe i will not smoke weed in college and only smoke when i am home (christmas and spring breaks, summer vacation, etc)

What do you think about this? Cause i like getting drunk much more and u cant really get in trouble for drinking (maybe with your girlfreind but not the police hahaha).

everything gets old, and pot makes it so it is harder to continuously experience the new with your eyes wide open because it keeps you happy and content...

ah fvk...now I sound like Eric Rohmer...

basically, good for you

maybe you should be more concerned with doing well in school, as opposed to what drug you will have the most fun with.

You can think whatever you want, once you get in college you'll probably be sparking a lot. Depending on the college I guess, but every college I know of has tons of smokers, so you'll have ample opportunity.

As for getting caught, well just like with anything (drinking before 21) thats illegal in college, if your smart about it, you won't get caught.

Work hard and play hard.

What you choose to play hard with is no one's business but yours.

I actually started when I was in college and yes it got old and I stopped. I think it was one of the best decisions in my life (quitting that is). GOod luck with your endeavor.

after a while of constant smoking it really takes the enjoyment out of it. recently i've only been smoking a handful of times a week, it used to be almost every day. i say meet some new people, find some fun friends who like to spark an L every once in a while, and enjoy it. make sure its a hobby rather than a habit.

Many US colleges have much stiffer fines and penalties for under-age drinking and public intoxication than possesion of marijuana.

I'm curious about those referring to it as though it's an addiction to "quit"...what gives? I dabbled in some of that in college and high school, and had no problems "quitting" whenever. I'd smoke once in a while when the mood struck me (probably once a month or so), and since college I just haven't touched the stuff.

Cigarettes I can understand "quitting", and coffee, but pot? Is it that addictive for some people that they actually have to force themselves to "quit"?

It does get old that's true and I think most people figure that out and eventually quit as they mature, but quitting before you even start college seems a bit strange. College is where you're really supposed to smoke a lot of pot.

I see the same thing with drinking. I think people that continue to smoke treat it more like wine. There is appreciate of the bud, the taste, etc. I rarely drink but I do smoke quite often. But, it's not a smoke every two hours of every night. I take a hit or two, get a little buzz, and continue on about my day. It's just a preference. No different than drinking really, except that it's safer and illegal.

I think your idea about quitting before college, and then only smoking at home makes really good sense.

BTW - its backwards day.

EDIT: Wait a minute, your name is 420fred420? On second thought maybe you really should quit

depending how much you, how regularly, and how long (years) you have smoked. it can be tuff at first to quit. you have to unbrainwash yourself first, self talk is were it's at. it may take a while to quit completely, but I did. but I did quit as i get out of college.

it wasn't easy after smoking almost everyday for 8 years. weed is for young folks, I stick to beer now.
