I was approached by a recruiter for the porn industry a couple of years ago. He offered to pay round trip airfare to CA as well as accommodations. The pay was $5000 for gay porn and $1000 for straight porn. I turned him down though.

Not being mean or overly critical, but I will say some things you may not wish to hear.
For a 500 dollar budget in porn, you might get two scuzzy streetwalkers to play with each other for an hour or two.
Am amazed at how many people think that escorts and porn stars are dirt cheap.
A good quality escort in a medium sized town costs about 300-400 an hour, and thats with no frills.
If you want extra services like being able to film her, or getting her to work with another woman, (or both) thats gonna get real close to a 500 bucks an hour, each girl.
Regular porn stars who dont do escorting usually make a couple grand a day. And I'm not talking about the big names like Jenna Haze or Bella Donna, I'm talking about unknown names. Girls fresh off the bus, making movies with guys who work in their house and use a handheld camcorder.
I recommend OP stay out of the industry or at least start slowly. Go work for someone else and learn about how the game is played.

i actually know a little about this...
your gonna need about 5000 dollars just in licensing to get started, and then 2-3k for girls willing to do nasty stuff like anal and get nutted on on cam...and thats if your producing/directing/printing the DVD's/CD's/Hosting if it's a site by yourself...
but...in the long run you can make some serious cash.
