I've had stuff 100 pounds and up delivered via UPS. They get paid to deliver packages, so what's the problem?

they will completely rape you if you choose any service level above Standard.

from the top of my head, I shipped 3 boxes totalling about 150 lb from Ontario to PA, Standard was $127, Expedited was about $500 up to Early AM which was $960

Exactly what I'm saying.

Job description for USP driver states they have to lift objects that are 500 lbs. FedEx is 150 lbs. DHL is 5 lbs.

500lbs??? Holy crap!

Op: order 4 -- it's still within limits.

No, I made that up based on the amount of stuff these carriers bring to my job. UPS guy always brings the most stuff.

I got two 100 pound packages through UPS one day.

The guy told me that if I wasn't there he was going to write down his number on the delivery slip so he could come back and drop them off later in the day if I got home (so he wouldn't have to unload and reload them on the truck at the end of the day).

Unless the seller is dumb, they're going to ship through some freight company, UPS freight, or someone else freight.
