I have all my cd's ripped to my ipod. I love every single one of my cd's (I don't buy anything I don't like) they all take about 7 gigs ripped at 192. I leave it on random and let it play through which is the best way. If you have 3 gigs of crap, get some better music. I have 7 gigs of good music, so I use it and listen.

The mini is MUCH smaller than the regular iPod. Have you ever seen them side-by-side? The size factor appeals to a certain group of people and also competes heavily with the smaller flash-based MP3 players.

+ Some of us don't need 20GB of music. How the hell could I ever listen to 20 gigs of music. I like the size of the mini. It works for me.
