Mine are mostly design flaws:
Parking brake pedal - Awkward placement causes me to step on it when I enter the car.
Gas and Trunk release latches - Place in an area that is hard to see without leaning to the side to find them.
CD changer - Sometimes has a hard time reading CDs, even store bought ones
Slight lag in power - Stepping hard on the accelerator takes about 3 seconds before the power kicks in.
Paint - Seems to be easily scratched

My tires are almost bald, so I need to get a new set :) Other than that - I'm happy with the Scion :)

Mine (VW 20AE GTI) came with high performance summer tires. Had I known I'd been moving to the NorthEast, I would have taken that into consideration.

Last winter was like Bambi on ice :D

I'll be getting ultra high performance radials this winter, setting me back about $500.

3 seconds? I'd call that more than a "slight" lag

edit: only complaint I have about my car (Mazda3) is the AC doesn't work as well as other cars I have owned.
But I don't "hate" anything about her :D

I love my Saturn SL2:) Only minor annoyance is that space and storage are limited.

got a 1995 bmw 525i. its a pretty nice car, except it has a lot of strange electrical problems. like, the sunroof opens some days, but doesnt open other days. the coolant level light keeps coming on, even though i replaced the sensor. and, once, the gas gauge stopped working for a day. and its rediculous how much these dealers charge. 200 dollars to change the oil? wtf is that?

It's only when I smash the accelerator down and the transmission has to "downshift". This causes that 3 second lag but if I need that little push to pass up a car the power is always there.

Yep, it was this week. The rear brake linings broke on the left side! Not much braking action after that happens and the wheel cylinder extends.

Get a set of Blizzaks and steel rims for the winter. I got a set for my stock rims on the Mustang, and it's a breeze to drive in the snow even with all the modifcations I've done to it.

Hmm...The defroster vents are prone to crack(my 91's vents are absolutely shot)
Early models(91-94) the window stripping and regulator scratch the glass
Pre-3rd gen hydraulic lifters tick like none other!
Airbags suck on these cars
Stock boost gauge blows.

Well, I picked up a set of steelies on ebay for cheap just in case. I'm due for new tires soon anyway, so I'm gonna try the all season ContiExtreme first. If that doesn't do the trick, I"ll get a set of Blizzaks for the steel rims

hmmm, my car? I've fixed just about everything that I found issues with. The only thing I hate is the lack of a/c and cruise control. if installed those the car would become a lx model :D

Those should work...but nothing is up to the Blizzak level IMO. To me, with a performance car, it makes ZERO sense to buy a "all season" tire to try and get both winter performance, and summer performance from one tire. I've already got two seasons out of my Blizzaks, and they aren't even halfway worn. also, having a seperate set of rims/tires makes it easy to switch them. If it's in the middle of the winter, and we've got a warm week in the forecast, I'll sometimes throw the summer rims/tires back on since it only takes me about a 1/2 hour to switch.

:)

the arm rest is behind the seat, so it is completely unusable (not to mention rock hard). the cup holders are blocked by the a/c controls, which extend above it. the steering wheel and the seat aren't lined up. the 'tilt' steering wheel only tilts down, not up. the front overhang is too long, so it scrapes a lot. it hard starts (nissan claims to not be able to fix it, or maybe it was just that particular stealership), it pings and it hesitates when the a/c is on. the shift lock is broken, so it can't be shifted without me sticking a screwdriver down a little hole to unlock it (need to get that one fixed, it better count as powertrain, and why have i never seen any such thing on an american car?). the place i got a brake job at last used the cheapest parts available, so the brakes sound horrible.
