Things to remember when the next Democrat is in office

So many meltdowns from right wing media about the "unconstitutional power-grab by liberal democrats who want to take all your money and kill grandma while making you become gay from the chips implanted in vaccines and 5g mind control signals and give free mansions to illegals while making hard working real Americans (white people) their slaves" would ensue.

Edit: Forgot gun grabbing, and forced abortions because liberals hate babies.

Their #1 go to pay: accuse others of what they themselves are doing.

That’s why when they say the democrats are trying to engage in election fraud via mail in voting, we should be concerned about mail in voting fraud.

I completely agree. What’s funny is if the Democrats changed the system so broadly speaking the side that got the most votes ran the country conservatives would shriek about the death of democracy.

Speaking of which. Just now

Personally this is a win-win to me either the Gov gets to censor media that consistently post false info or the President loses and keeps getting fact checked or something in between.
Can’t wait for the next Democrat to tear into Briebert, Hannity, Alex Jones and all the other shit heads.

Ironically if Trump got his way Twitter would have no choice but to ban him as they would be legally liable for his statements.

It's also ironic that Republicans are complaining about social media considering how they've weaponized it to create factions and give them out-sized voice and power. I guess they just want to have a virtual monopoly on how to weaponize it for themselves.

If Trump really has billions he could easily setup his own Trumpitter. And his cult will follow him there.

Exactly, I can’t wait. Win-win situation.

Funny thing is the President is likely the most narcissistic person on the Plant by a bigly margin. He doesn’t think he is right he knows he is right about mail in voting or Scarborough killing someone. How dare someone even consider he could be wrong.
How dare anyone say this order would be used as you describe @fskimospy

There won't be anything to remember.
The average American has a ridiculously short attention span and the average Trumpette has very selective memory/brainwashing.

Fox News will be ranting and raving and blaming Joe for shit they let slide every day under Donald.

That is why we preserve it here.

99% of the time and effort of the next President is going to be focused on two areas: (1) (mostly) undoing damage done by Trump and his swamp creatures and (2) doing things that Trump should have done and ignored (competent Fed response to COVID-19 fits squarely into this category).

Unfortunately it will be very similar to much of the Obama years in that so much time and effort is spent on cleaning up that very little can or will be focused on actual Dem party agenda items.

Eliminating corporate and fat cat giveaways in the tax code (what the GOP calls raising taxes) to start digging us out of the hole the Trump tax bill giveaway caused (even before the COVID reaction bills) would be a great start. As would at least a few prosecutions, especially in the economic corruption area.

If a media company says something about him or hos campaign he doesn't like it is okay to use the Government Twitter account to tell people to cancel their service

Haha, he thinks people have telco choices. That's a good one.

Character MATTERS!

Balance the Budget!

OMG! Look at the deficit!

Yep, if a Dem takes the White House the deficit spending that the very wealthy and the Repubs have enjoyed immensely profiting from is going to transform into a pile driver that the Repubs will keep slamming the Dems with.

Amazing how that sells so well with the Repub base. Somehow in their defective propagandized mindset, ballooning the deficit is perfectly fine if the Repubs do it for the wealthy but it's hatefully communist/socialist if any tax revenues are spent supporting the middle class and the poor.

The lawyer he’s using to go after CNN for the poll results was in CNN this morning. She attempted to defend the Comcast tweet by saying he’s a private citizen and has 1A rights. But can’t wait to see how the judge roll their eyes at her defense strategy for the poll lawsuit.

Dems can from today ignore any and every Repub subpoena, summons, request for info, etc.
Why would we want to break gov't just like the republicans? Strategically, pushing back on some of the likely BS stuff they'll pull will make sense, but not in general, IMHO.

Think of it more like bullying. The only way to beat the bully is to hit back.
This is why some people are advocating for packing the courts.
Is it how the government is supposed to work? No.
But might it make republicans actually think about coming to the table? Yes.
Otherwise, they really don't give a shit. There's been next to no consequences for their total stonewalling of government function, including denying Merrick Garland his seat on SCOTUS
