Ground beef. I'm seeing 1.33lb of 92% lean selling for $6.50-$7.00 here in northern VA. :(

guns, especially after Nov. 4th 2008.

food and drinks at amusement parks/events/etc.

i was at a gun show at the Harrisburg Farm Show Complex and the soda machines wanted $3.00 for a 20 oz. soda (even bottled water).

Video games. It costs $.50-$1 to print and package a CD, then maybe another $2 to ship the game to the store. I know that development/marketing costs are high, but if developers would just use decent anti-piracy measures (think Stardock's approach), then it wouldn't really be a problem. Or put some advertising/product placement in games to reduce the price - I don't mind paying $20 instead of $50 if I have to see a few billboards/an ad during loading.

Bad bad idea. Think "Give 'em an inch..." You don't want to fly on a carrier with that policy.

Text messages. These cost cell phone companies near ZERO because it's small data packets travelling over an existing paid for data network. I read somewhere it's 4x more expensive per character to send a text message than to get information from the Hubble telescope.

You must be buying from brand name OJ such as MinuteMaid.

I almost always bought store brands and they are pretty good tastewise. Just bought 1 gal of OJ from Brookshire <regional store> for $2.89 plus sale taxes.

Expensive texting? SERO FTW. :D

You do know that a pirated copy != a potential sale?

And that stardock might as well have shot itself?

I agree on ads though.

No I want you guys to have the highest standards but as far as customer service, comfort, etc., do away with all of it. If a carrier like Air Asia can get me from Malaysia to London for something like $350 it makes me wonder what airlines like United are blowing their money on that makes their fares so much more expensive.
