Don't expect a sequel, I think the story went as far as it could go after he offed the Lord Marshall. If anything, expect a prequel to Pitch Black. I know prequels are generally frowned upon these days, but just think what they could do with showing how Riddick became the badass he was in the other movies, not to mention the highly anticipated scene of him getting his eyeshine surgery done for a pack of cigs. Damn, just thinking about it gets me excited, c'mon Twohy get on the ball with this!

play the game, it has additional story elements not present in the movies. i bought the game on fs/ft but never finished it. now that i've seen the movies, i'm gonna go back and play it and i think its gonna be even better knowing some of the story components behind the game.

I beat the game twice 😛 I still think a prequel is the most plausible route there is in seeing another Riddick movie. The game is great though, definitely go back and try to finish it.

I thought this was a result of him being furian(sp)? In the last movie the girl says that there was no one who would/could do the surgery.

She only said she couldn't find the guy who did it for him, then questioned if Riddick was even telling the truth, so that fact is still up in the air if you don't consider the game part of the "real" story.

Your theory is sound but becomes bunk when you consider the Lord Marshall's purifier admits to Riddick that he's also Furian before killing himself (a cool scene) but has no noticable eyeshine ability. So I contend he did get it done by someone while in a prison with no sunlight, most likely Butcher Bay, since he even states "they keep a cell open for him in case he drops by," so obviously it's part of his past in the movies too. If that's the case then the game really does tell more of the story and doesn't just have it's own spin on things, though I remember some miniscule contradictions in some of the scenes it's nothing that can't be chalked up to bolstering a game based on a set of Sci-Fi movies.

in the game he gets the eyeshine when that lady comes to talk to him in his dream or whatever just like he gets his wrath of furyan power. the way i see it is that the purifier never got it from that lady but he did get the wrath of furyan from her.
